Trust me all the negative hype about Pattaya is true and justified recently spent a week there arranging my bank account and it’s a cheap Charlie sausage haven , if sitting in a sleazy bar with 40 other guys talking crap with very below average ladies is your thing then you will absolutely love it 😂😂
Just popped here because I saw Mr Carter 😂 Ill be subscribing for sure and can't wait to get over to Thailand for a few months in april 👏 Im also not 100% sure but im getting an accent thats maybe close to where me and GC are from 😂🎉
For Australians they dont need to go during peak season as its summer in Australia. If the Thai government gave 90 days on arrival to Australians then i am sure a lot more would visit over the off season as they would only need a border run to be able to spend the whole off season there.
First time in Pattaya right now. I have been to other parts of Thailand. My thoughts. The place stinks of sewerage due to terrible drains, horrendous traffic. Most bars almost empty. A lot of bars with scantily clad women outside, half of whom I wish would cover up....overweight and or past their sell by date, compared to other parts of Thailand except Phuket 30% more expensive, hotel good value though. I certainly won't hurry back

I admire your enthusiasm Edward. I was at Geoff Carter's bash. Been here 5 weeks now with 1 week left. Personally I've fallen out with the place. Doing Banchang tomorrow with my son. Stay safe.
I am a career Thai woman and I love Pattaya. I don’t like partying but love good beach lifestyle, business savvy and all convenience. Pattaya is perfect.
Great to see you on the road Eddy, and I'll enjoy and admire your long term travel in such a beautiful part of the world. I've been watching you since Covid lockdown, and enjoyed being inspired to travel to Thailand once again. I spent time in Thailand and Cambodia early last year, including three nights in Pattaya. As you have done, straight into the airport in Bangkok, and onto the bus to Pattaya. So easy. I stayed in a wonderful hotel, enjoyed the beach and night life, and also wandered around the back streets to enjoy some wonderful street food from exceptionally friendly people, a contrast you don't expect in such a busy place. Lovely people at all times. Wonderful to see you catching up with Geoff Carter in this video. All the best.
Hey Eddie. Great to see the dream come true! I have to agree that what I love about Pattaya is the walking. I often get up at 8am and do a lap from Soi Bukou to beach road up to the end of Walking street and mosy my way back. The weather just makes it an easy motivator. Take care mate and thanks for sharing!
Amazing Eddy! You're living the dream for us mate! Can't wait to get back to Thailand again this year...been a long 6 months already since my last trip, cheers! 🍻
Serious point Eddie. Can you go into your Settings on your phone and set or unset MIRROR for when you are vlogging to camera, please 🥺? Impossible to work out where you are when the background is the wrong way round. 👍
The best thing about Thailand is the people. As a tourist I never got a funny look or was told "Go Home!" like in some other places. I was always greeted with a smile🙂 and a temple 🙏
Youre so right about walking in the sun. Who wants to walk in England when it's 5⁰c and drizzling rain? As a relatively fit 56 yr old, I've walked from Terminal 21 to Big Buddha and back to Soi 15. The sun and pleasant scenery make it a leisurely stroll, not a chore. I left Pattaya on 19 December for Xmas in Grim Britain, I'll be back in Pattaya on 16 Jan- and make full use of my retirement visa. Can't wait.
Hi Eddy great to see you back in your natural habit. You look so at home there, a real tonic much needed on this grey cold day in Cleethorpes. Have you managed to sort out a condo yet for 6 months +
New subscriber. You are doing what I want to do! :) Good on ya! I feel you on settling into the monotony of early day beers when in SE Asia. So easy to do... You feel like you are on vacation, but gotta realize that it is now your daily life. It helps me to find some good cafe for nice healthy food (fruit plates or poke bowls, salads, guacamole egg sandwich, etc) and coffee to have that early day sit down, preferably with a walk involved. Then an afternoon nap when it is hot, and then you are ready for evening beers. That gets me out of the early day drinks, I get a healthy meal in, some exercise, and support small business owners.
Hi eddy ..my questions to you is. How are you going to stay of alcohol..when you in heart of Pattaya..it going to be hard to stay away from alcohol..if you out most night in Pattaya .
Glad to see you're up and about in Pattaya, Eddy! Looking forward to your collaboration with Geoff Carter! And congrats for picking up those new Subs! CHEERS!
I went to Pattaya a year ago. I am a decade or two younger than most of the western guys there but had a great time. It is actually nowhere near as sleazy or as dangerous as I thought it would be according to reports - during the day it's exactly like any other small Thai city. Safe, friendly and easy going. Night time it comes alive but I never had any feeling it was sketchy. I'd love to go again. PS: The young Indian crowds there on 'work trips' are hilarious and a lot of fun. I think for a lot of them they've never been anywhere like it so they're having a great time
Yes, gonna be interesting to see how you make the transition from being on holiday to being retired. Imagine you'll travel around a bit first and then decide where you want to stay for a while, but until then, it'll still seem like you're on holiday, with all that has to offer. Going to be fun to see how things work out for you.
Hey Steady Eddie, always great to see you and your slant on the things. Hope to cross paths in February when I get to Thailand for the month. Cheers, Sam
Eddy, I saw your video at Heathrow Airport getting ready to go to Thailand and really liked it. I can relate to everything you said. Although, I'm an American the same B.S. goes on here as in England. I plan on becoming a new subscriber and look forward to your videos from Thailand. It sure looks beautiful and wish I was there with you. What a difference England is to Thailand. It's like on a different planet. Have fun and I look forward to your next video.
