I feel like Dunkaroos went MIA for years, and then I saw them again in the store about 6 months ago. I kinda got them for the kids, and I kinda got them for me, lol.

I love the quality construction work you guys did, it seems you guys are professionals. I love how the family came together and pitched in, the more they do that the more likely they will help in maintaining the new set up. I recommend putting the bread items in a bin since there will be crumbs. Your kitchen must really be huge as you didn't need to put any appliances in your pantry. I like how you repurposed a cabinet for your meds/OTC stuff. I am planning to do same. Your son could make some risers for those lower containers too then you can see the contents instead of the lids when you're in there. All and all beautiful job.

My kitchen is pretty decently sized, but one of the reasons I don’t need to store appliances in my pantry is because I’m a bit of a minimalist and I’ve decluttered my kitchen so many times that I really have it down to only the things I use. It keeps my cupboards from being overloaded and it really helps with organization. I’m actually planning on doing a kitchen tour soon.

Do people really store that much food? I understand buying more when on sale, but geez that’s a lot of money just “ sitting “ in a pantry
We have a pretty fast turnover in our house with 6 people in our family. Food doesn’t sit for long in the pantry. I’ve customized my pantry to our needs and food consumption, but different people will have different amounts and different food depending on their household.

Your husband did a great job with the shelving , it looks like it's always been there 👍 I've watched loads of these videos and wondered if all the empty boxes get recycled ? As I see many just say its trash . 😮 watching from the uk and we are big on recycling , is it the same in the states , just curious . Pantry looks fantastic 👌
I’m actually from Canada, so I can’t speak for what it’s like in the states. I do recycle my cardboard boxes as well as my plastic bottles and tin cans. The large white containers at the bottom of the pantry are for recycling.

I can't speak for all of the US, but in south Texas they have decided they no longer want to provide us someplace to throw all these plastic bags, and Amazon boxes. I hot so used to recycling, but now they want it in trash, or you look for someplace to take it. Some big cities have recycling drums, but not everywhere.

How did your son build the risers for the cans?
He screwed two smaller boards to either end of a longer board. I think it was a 1X4. And then painted it white. He made one shorter so that they created a stair effect when placed in front.

I never watch orgenizing programs because I am orgenized. I am 75 and have allways been very tidy and orgenized. Your pentry looks great however no offence it would drive me crazy. I would not want to lift ut up everything to see what is inside. However great video.
Oh, I know, I just didn’t have pretty labels to put on them yet. Most of the jars are obvious to me what’s inside so it’s no big deal, and for the few that might have been easily mixed up, I added the ‘not so pretty’ label to the bottom. One day, I’ll get to labeling everything properly. But it’s such an improvement from what it was, so I’m enjoying it just as it is right now.
