I have such a blessed life that God has given me and I'm grateful for it, I want to get on more of a personal level with you guys so here it goes. Hello, I am Courtney. I am 14 years old and a freshmen and high-school. I do not own a horse and can't pay for ridding lessons yet and it has taken me almost my whole life to understand that's okay. My parents have done everything they could to have me around horses, for the past three years we have been going to a dude ranch one week each year, and for the past two-three years we've been volunteering at a stables around 15 minutes away from us. Over that time I built up the passion for just being around the atmosphere of horses even if I couldn't ride or even lead at the time. But God always had a plan for me and even now I almost cry from how selfish I was and how blessed I am. As of today I work a lady with cancer's horse and pony who haven't been used in three years for her to ride at least one more time.. and on Friday's I lead in and feed 12 horses, 2 ponies, and 4 minies with my family. Watching your guys channel everyday has helped me, I get to live a life everyday with horses through a screen and through your camera lens. And maybe in a few years I can minor college in Equine Studies to carry on that passion that your girls also share. ♥️ until next time

I've been watching your videos everyday since when you guys first started riding with Fionna and I do get jealous of you guys because you are literally living my dream!!! but watching your videos everyday has become part of my life and getting to see your journey has been so exciting and it feels a bit like I'm living it even though I'm not, like when you guys got your first horse I was so excited and it was like I was getting the horse too. I can't get a horse or my own farm anytime soon but I can watch your videos everyday and see you live my dream for me! 😊🐴

One thing is for sure, I will never get a horse. It even took me a while to get my parents to let me take riding lessons, not because they just don’t want me to take lessons, but because of money. That’s why I like watching your content, it makes me feel like this is the life I actually have. My dream life.

The girls friendship is like a sister hood and it’s so amazing! Im about their age and I use to live in Texas and I grew up on this one farm and we had a friendship just like theirs. I recently had to move back to Canada and I lost my friends (we would call each other bro and sis) it really hurts my heart because I also lost my heart horse. We had this intense bond. He was this tiny little off the track Arab stallion and when we got him he was so wild but there was something about him I couldn’t resist. I couldn’t keep my eyes of him. Even tho I was young I already had lots of experience with bad horses and I use to love to work with them. Once I convinced the owner of the stable to let me ride him, trust me I did. Since the first ride I knew he was for me, he didn’t listen to anyone but me. I loved that horse so much. I trained him for his first endurance ride, I trained him bareback. I fell off I’m not gonna lie. One day he ran down a ditch and I fell off hurting my head but I got up, my head throbbing and ran after him. He was all I cared about. After the 1-2 best years of my life with prize I learned I had to move. It’s been since the beginning of summer yet I cry about it everyday. No one really understands how I feel but I think gabby does. If you see this gabby or Laura just know that, sure you may get a new horse but you will always have storm and be great full for him every moment because horses don’t like for ever. -lots of love, a hopeful fan ♥️
Your Christmas pictures are so cute. I watch your videos every day when I first wake up. There are always people with more money expensive horses etc but we should appreciate what we have. Horses 🐴 bring joy to our lives at least most of the time (lol).
I think you’ve said it before Laura and said it again today, we should appreciate what we do have, ratter than what we don’t. It does make me sad at times that people appear to be judged on materialistic things, rather than so many other things, which ultimately cost nothing, such as being kind to others. I admire you for being yourselves and showing us all the ups and downs, rather than just what’s perfect ( if there is such a thing). When I look back now on my childhood I know that my parents sacrificed a lot to enable my brothers and I to take up hobbies we enjoyed, mine of course was horse riding and to buy us things we wanted, however if I didn’t always have what my friends had, I never felt hard done by. Of course it’s hard when you desperately want something ( such as a pony lol) and can’t have it, but never give up, dreams can come true. I have a $1000 horse. She bucked, she bolted, reared, and I fell a lot. I hated her and wish we got a different horse that fall. But then when winter came around, it was too icy and snowy to ride. I brought her out and just played with her. It was so amazing. I got on her bareback and she listened to me. Since then I’ve been training her up. Basically, if you can’t change your situation, change what you can. *(btw I am not a great rider, I’ve only been riding for four years, but a bond can do what you need it to.)*
I use to watch y’all all the time. Every day. I really feel off because I got depressed that a 12 year old was living something I’ve always wanted, y’all have inspired me to push and push. I finally got my horse and were training you really inspired me to start a RUclips channel but I’m not sure how, but thank you!
My favorite horse I have es ver owned was only 750 dollars, he is the one that showed me how to ride. He was a 23 year old grade 14.2 hh QH. And he was perfect. Even though he went lame on and off and could be stubborn at times he was perfect for me.

I had a lesson yesterday. It was such a great lesson! My last two lessons I have ridden with different people, at my barn we have groups, I loved the people I used to ride with but we are pretty sure that they took the winter off. I’m really sad about it. My group was funny and so amazing to ride with, this video really touched my heart. The horse I ride is a mare, she is a blackish brown color, she has a lot of sas. She is about storms size, maybe a little bigger, and pretty fast, she is lazy at first but after 2 minutes of laziness she goes pretty fast. I really would love to have a farm, my barn is about 15 minutes away from my house, so I only get to ride once a week,I think it would be fun to ride whenever I want but from what I’ve herd from even you guys that having a barn is hard and I learned that I am lucky with what I have. I’m so thankful that I’m able to ride when I was younger and couldn’t ride I hated it, all I needed was to be around horses and I’m thankful for that! I loved your horse photoshoot, the pictures look amazing!! Both of your girls are beautiful! I love watching your journey and you guys are so positive!

That commenter I agree and just remember Snowman (a famous show jumper) was $80. It doesn’t matter the money because that $800 horse could be the world to you and it doesn’t matter how much time you spend with your horse. So long as you spend sometime even if it is a minute
I totally agree that it doesn't matter how expensive or how cheap a horse is. I have seen some really good trained horses sell for cheap just because they didn't have a home for him/her anymore. And some horses are sold cheap because they aren't trained. I bought a cheap unbroke 7 year old horse this summer and I worked very hard with him all summer and now we are already schooling over 3ft courses and he has so much potential to go even higher than that. So this just proves that if you are dedicated you can turn any cheap/untrained horse into something that is perfect for what you need, as long as the horse is able to fit your needs physically and mentally.
Yeah, I so agree. My pony used to be what we call a lead line pony. In other words, little children would get on him and be lead around on him. He didn't know a whole lot other than that. He is so much better now. Good job on training your unbroke 7 year old horse, sounds like you did a good job with him.
laura you are so right my first horse was a shetland pony she was to small so i could not ride her but i loved her with all my heart.i would lead her everywhere i would go to pony club with her even though i could not ride her and run next to her her name was puff and i am so grateful of her.we rescued her from a abusive situation she was only $50.

I dont know what happened to me but I've been so positive for the past 3 days. I'm normally a vary happy person but when i dont get food or when I stay in my house for to long i get really grumpy and nagative and sometimes i look at what people have and I don't. But i told myself im changing I said that I cant live like this or else my life will be hell. You guyd are actually thee ones that have helped me a lot to look at things in a posistive way. Like instead of saying "I wish i had a horse" I've started to say "im so happy that god has a horse waiting for me" and it really has changed how i look at things. Or instead of me saying "i wish i had my own room" im saying "im grateful for my siblings" because without them i would feel so lonely❤ Laura you have really helped me and I hope you know that. There was a time when i became really jealous of you guys but I changed that and looked at it in a different way because im happy for you guys that you get to have such a great life😘 I love you guys so much❤❤❤. Oh and I loved the photoshoot you guys did. And my birthday is Dec 3rd im going to be 14!!!

I had been leasing a horse called Star and i leased him for about a year and i have built so much bond in him and i leased him for a comp for dresserge showjumping and sporting is barrles and bending and key whole and he would barly spook at any thing he was a gold plamnio but sadly i had to stop leasing him because he could not canter or jump high but i loved him so much now i have not been able to seen him about 4 months and its breaks my heart he was the best horse ever and all i want to do with him is take him to the beach so thats all i wish for Christmas is to vist him and ride him again. He is out in the field agian so i did all that work on him now he sits in a fiels. The funny thing about him he did pig route at a juge when were at a comp. im the same as gabby i went cross country with my horse and he never jumped a thing when my instructor said to me i think its time to get a new horse and i immediately started bawling my eyes out and the instructor left and i was aloud to keep riding and i got him over almost everything and any time my mum or dad brought it up i would walk away and cry but now my horse is AMAZING but im looking for a lease at the moment just while i work with my horse and im going to take the lease to states and probably keep him or her for a year while i work with mine my horse isnt going anywhere xx im glad to know im not the only one
i’m very much so on the same boat as gabby. for YEARS i didn’t want to leave my old lease mare, or that barn. i would sob and scream and completely close myself off until i felt ready to discuss. i knew to become a better equestrian i had to stop riding her and it’s not a decision i regret. i think everything will work out in the long run. i enjoy seeing your videos and how you keep it real. keep doing what you do! ❤️❤️❤️ - also i need some tips on how to get horses to stop being so sensitive about their back feet! any tips you guys used for finn would be greatly appreciated!
two years ago I brought my first horse and the best horse I have ever owned/ridden. I was not born into wealth, I bought my horse for $350. She has taught me so much and got me so far. I think that everyone should be able to find that one horse that changes there whole life in a good way. I think that Gabby should stick with storm until she is ready to move on without anyone pushing her, she needs to cherish the moments with her heart horse!

I watch you guys everyday because my family can't afford for me to do lessons or own a horse. so when i watch you it makes me happy to see you happy with your horses. I am still very grateful for what i have.When you said we all make mistakes it made my day because i do gymnastics i make too many mistakes and I was like YUP!! But we also can learn from mistakes. What that girl said I can relate to on so many levels. My upper level barrel horse (that I trained myself) I bought off the meat truck 10 months pregnant for 200$. That's all we could afford at the time for a horse. It was the best thing I ever did. It's not about the money you spend on the horse, its not about how much you can do with the horse, it's about the bond and trust you and the horse have for each other. Yes you can have a horse that competes great but if you and the horse dont trust each other then are yall really having fun. Yes some people have more money then others but it's not about the money. Hold your head high.
I just bought a completely untouched colt for only 300. It was hard to do anything with him including feeding and even cleaning up after him. He had no human contact and didn’t trust a soul and now he’s the sweetest little guy ever! I have always wanted horses and the first one I’ve ever got we had to sadly give her away. I though we would never get another and then we did and he is my big old baby! I dreamed of having more than one horse and I just prayed and prayed and eventually my herd grew and now I have 4 little munchkins😅 although we don’t have the best barn or a arena I’m still very grateful for what I do have!
I really love what that girl had to say. Laura, You and I have discussed “jealousy” in the recent past and opinions about it. It’s a tough one to deal with and I am a grown adult! I shamefully admit that this past year I have been in a negative state of mind. Mostly due to being so unwell and not having all the answers as to what is making me so unwell. When you are in a negative space, jealousy easily creeps in and as humans, we can easily forget the wonderful gifts we have in our lives already! Much like the girl who wrote the comment to you, my mare Ember was a rescue. She was $500.00 CAD. She is a Standardbred and at the time I had NO IDEA what a standardbred was! Gaited?!? What is that!?! 7.5 yrs of tears and struggle! This year while being ill and unable to do anything that I wanted to do, I became angry and upset and jealous of what I didn’t have. I lost friends whom I thought were friends and many times I lost hope. Fairly recently i started to change my thoughts to positive ones and look for the wonderful things I DO have! I have a mare that I love and I know she takes care of me and knows me and in a horse way, loves me too 💞🐴 I have a home, my dogs and cats, parents who love and do anything for me, half decent health care that, for the most part we don’t have to pay for, and a select couple of friends that return my messages consistently even just to say HI. (I had neighbours that would but they have stopped UNLESS they want something from me which actually really hurts my heart. It is what it is though and I cherish the couple of friends I DO have. I cherish having the chance to watch your family grow and to be able to converse with you. Jealousy is, again, a hard one. We all want more. I know for myself, I’m working on changing that feeling of jealousy to “how do I go about getting what I want more out of my own journey”. Set positive goals. Block those who have negatively impacted me even if it’s just in the comment section, and always remind myself what I am thankful for. On Instagram I followed a lovely lady named Britney Crosby. She was fighting late stage Ovarian cancer and she beat the odds SO many times. Her husband posted some beautiful photos with a beautiful write up on his beautiful wife 2 days ago.... Britney lost her battle. She had a saying, “Live Life On Purpose”. Forget about what others have. If you wish for more in life, take the steps necessary to work towards them and always remind yourself of the amazing blessings you already have! 💞🙏 I know that you have been looking out for me and yet I didn’t know this until our chat yesterday and I REALLY am grateful for that! 💞🙏 More than you can possibly know, especially while I was in this dark period of life that I’m pulling myself out of! I will say right here right now that one of my true blessings is being able to know you and your family. You spread kindness everywhere you go and to complete strangers. You allow us into your lives and I am so blessed to be apart of your Day by Day Family. You hit the nail on the head. Enjoy what you have not what you don’t have. We are not seeing everything in your life. What people don’t realise is life isn’t perfect and I’m sure you like everyone has bad days. The fact is people you cannot expect a life someone has if you’re not going to do the same things they have to get there. Watch their old films and you’ll see it wasn’t always like the now for them. Sam needs to be away a lot and I’m sure he would love to be home with his family more. You’ve got to make sacrifices to get where you want and what you want sometimes. There is no shame in not being rich or famous or having it all. Live your life your way and as we say take each day because no day is a given and life is so very precious. I wanted to lease a horse since Im still growing.. I just started lessons Im going to my 7th tomorrow and my family and I have just fell in love with horses especially now that Im working with them and riding. I've wanted to do this for years and now I finally get to. I can jump 2 hole high jumps and I can canter.. We asked the stables how much to lease a horse and they said that, "Around here, you need to spend around 15,000-30,000 dollars to get a good looking and working horse" My dad also pays like $560 for 8 lessons and I just want to ask if thats reasonable... I live in New York so I know its a bit different but do you think its reasonable? My dad said if they keep asking for us to lease so we can board it their and stuff we might have to find a different stable but I love my instructor, she's sweet and is just like a 20 year old me.. I also like the horses there so I really dont want to move stables.. Anyways, thank you for this video.. I found out a little bit more of what I have to do even though im too young to have a job..

I feel sad, i have to give my horse up, but at least hes going to a supposedly great place were they can ride him everyday hopefully. In his prime he was a hunter and dressage horse and showed in Florida i think and he got some really great scores at 1st level dressage and even won a couple. I hope to shoot some videos and pics before he leaves. They said I can visit him. And when its time to cross over the rainbow bridge my friend said he can come back for his final resting place. He’s 24yrs old gelding. I hope one day I can find another horse to ride and show. I might take some lessons first and then look in leasing a horse but I know sometimes your not able to show them. Which I want to do, before I get to old. Im 53yrs old. And maybe one day I can meet up with you guys. Sincerely, Amy
My horse was $600 because he had a hernia so he was going to be dog food but my step mum bought him for her and I wanted a horse so she gave him to me, and I love him so much, it’s funny because the other day I was grooming him in his paddock and I was doing his back foot so I dropped the leap rope like I always do so he cantered off from me and kicked out and almost kicked me

I honestly feel the sane way about my horse as Gabby because one day my mom came up to me and she said I should sell my horse Murphy (of course Gabby's not selling him but) and I couldn't I couldn't stop crying looking at pictures of him thinking of him because I couldn't give up on him because one day when I was with him I said I would never give up on him.
As I remember mainly because it’s been so long ago, I think I paid $400.00 dollars for my horse and he was the sweetest most willing horse that I could have ever owned. The price of the horse doesn’t matter as long as it’s the horse for you. I never jumped him because I too scared to I rode English and Western and won ribbons on him in show, not anything really important but for me it could have been the most important show in the world. So please don’t feel bad if you can’t afford to buy an expensive horse as long as it’s the horse for you.
I can really relate to the girl that made that comment, because financially we’re going through a hard time right now and all my life I’ve been kind of on the poor side.. With ups and downs of coarse. But two years ago in September I bought the horse that I have now Logan for $300 he wasn’t trained, he had grown up in a pasture with other horses and pet once in a while, barely started on how to lead a week before I got him, and that was all he knew he wasn’t gelded when I got him, I had to get him gelded. Now two years Later, I rode him for the first time at a gallop this summer!💞 he knows how to walk trot and canter both ways on the lunch he knows back up, good on ground manners he knows how to let me do his feet since I can’t afford the Farreir I learned to do is feed myself :) I’ve been his Farreir, his vet, his trainer, his groomer, his rider, and most importantly I’ve been able to be the proud owner of this beautiful boy!💞🥰 He will be four in March I got him when he was a year and five months old. Through all this time we’ve been through some ups and downs together and I wouldn’t traded a moment of it for anything!💖 Someday I want to be like you guys have my own farm and plenty of horses and all the stuff they need😊 I’ve grown up with horses with my family horses but he is my first horse of my own, My heart Horse💞💖💞 He’s a pony quarter horse cross paint, a 14.3 hh. I have such a blessed life that God has given me and I'm grateful for it, I want to get on more of a personal level with you guys so here it goes.
Hello, I am Courtney. I am 14 years old and a freshmen and high-school. I do not own a horse and can't pay for ridding lessons yet and it has taken me almost my whole life to understand that's okay. My parents have done everything they could to have me around horses, for the past three years we have been going to a dude ranch one week each year, and for the past two-three years we've been volunteering at a stables around 15 minutes away from us. Over that time I built up the passion for just being around the atmosphere of horses even if I couldn't ride or even lead at the time. But God always had a plan for me and even now I almost cry from how selfish I was and how blessed I am. As of today I work a lady with cancer's horse and pony who haven't been used in three years for her to ride at least one more time.. and on Friday's I lead in and feed 12 horses, 2 ponies, and 4 minies with my family. Watching your guys channel everyday has helped me, I get to live a life everyday with horses through a screen and through your camera lens. And maybe in a few years I can minor college in Equine Studies to carry on that passion that your girls also share.

One thing is for sure, I will never get a horse. It even took me a while to get my parents to let me take riding lessons, not because they just don’t want me to take lessons, but because of money.

The girls friendship is like a sister hood and it’s so amazing! Im about their age and I use to live in Texas and I grew up on this one farm and we had a friendship just like theirs. I recently had to move back to Canada and I lost my friends (we would call each other bro and sis) it really hurts my heart because I also lost my heart horse. We had this intense bond. He was this tiny little off the track Arab stallion and when we got him he was so wild but there was something about him I couldn’t resist. I couldn’t keep my eyes of him. Even tho I was young I already had lots of experience with bad horses and I use to love to work with them. Once I convinced the owner of the stable to let me ride him, trust me I did. Since the first ride I knew he was for me, he didn’t listen to anyone but me. I loved that horse so much. I trained him for his first endurance ride, I trained him bareback. I fell off I’m not gonna lie. One day he ran down a ditch and I fell off hurting my head but I got up, my head throbbing and ran after him. He was all I cared about. After the 1-2 best years of my life with prize I learned I had to move. It’s been since the beginning of summer yet I cry about it everyday. No one really understands how I feel but I think gabby does. If you see this gabby or Laura just know that, sure you may get a new horse but you will always have storm and be great full for him every moment because horses don’t like for ever.

I think you’ve said it before Laura and said it again today, we should appreciate what we do have, ratter than what we don’t. It does make me sad at times that people appear to be judged on materialistic things, rather than so many other things, which ultimately cost nothing, such as being kind to others. I admire you for being yourselves and showing us all the ups and downs, rather than just what’s perfect ( if there is such a thing). When I look back now on my childhood I know that my parents sacrificed a lot to enable my brothers and I to take up hobbies we enjoyed, mine of course was horse riding and to buy us things we wanted, however if I didn’t always have what my friends had, I never felt hard done by. Of course it’s hard when you desperately want something ( such as a pony lol) and can’t have it, but never give up, dreams can come true. I know lots of people who didn’t own horses until they were adults and could work and pay for them themselves, so there’s always hope 😊

I have a $1000 horse. She bucked, she bolted, reared, and I fell a lot. I hated her and wish we got a different horse that fall. But then when winter came around, it was too icy and snowy to ride. I brought her out and just played with her. It was so amazing. I got on her bareback and she listened to me. Since then I’ve been training her up. Basically, if you can’t change your situation, change what you can.

My favorite horse I have es ver owned was only 750 dollars, he is the one that showed me how to ride. He was a 23 year old grade 14.2 hh QH. And he was perfect. Even though he went lame on and off and could be stubborn at times he was perfect for me.

I had a lesson yesterday. It was such a great lesson! My last two lessons I have ridden with different people, at my barn we have groups, I loved the people I used to ride with but we are pretty sure that they took the winter off. I’m really sad about it. My group was funny and so amazing to ride with, this video really touched my heart. The horse I ride is a mare, she is a blackish brown color, she has a lot of sas. She is about storms size, maybe a little bigger, and pretty fast, she is lazy at first but after 2 minutes of laziness she goes pretty fast. I really would love to have a farm, my barn is about 15 minutes away from my house, so I only get to ride once a week,I think it would be fun to ride whenever I want but from what I’ve herd from even you guys that having a barn is hard and I learned that I am lucky with what I have. I’m so thankful that I’m able to ride when I was younger and couldn’t ride I hated it, all I needed was to be around horses and I’m thankful for that! I loved your horse photoshoot, the pictures look amazing!! Both of your girls are beautiful! I love watching your journey and you guys are so positive!

I totally agree that it doesn't matter how expensive or how cheap a horse is. I have seen some really good trained horses sell for cheap just because they didn't have a home for him/her anymore. And some horses are sold cheap because they aren't trained. I bought a cheap unbroke 7 year old horse this summer and I worked very hard with him all summer and now we are already schooling over 3ft courses and he has so much potential to go even higher than that. So this just proves that if you are dedicated you can turn any cheap/untrained horse into something that is perfect for what you need, as long as the horse is able to fit your needs physically and mentally.

Yeah, I so agree. My pony used to be what we call a lead line pony. In other words, little children would get on him and be lead around on him. He didn't know a whole lot other than that. He is so much better now. Good job on training your unbroke 7 year old horse, sounds like you did a good job with him.

my first horse was a shetland pony she was to small so i could not ride her but i loved her with all my heart.i would lead her everywhere i would go to pony club with her even though i could not ride her and run next to her her name was puff and i am so grateful of her.we rescued her from a abusive situation she was only $50.

I dont know what happened to me but I've been so positive for the past 3 days. I'm normally a vary happy person but when i dont get food or when I stay in my house for to long i get really grumpy and nagative and sometimes i look at what people have and I don't. But i told myself im changing I said that I cant live like this or else my life will be hell. You guyd are actually thee ones that have helped me a lot to look at things in a posistive way. Like instead of saying "I wish i had a horse" I've started to say "im so happy that god has a horse waiting for me" and it really has changed how i look at things. Or instead of me saying "i wish i had my own room" im saying "im grateful for my siblings" because without them i would feel so lonely❤ Laura you have really helped me and I hope you know that. There was a time when i became really jealous of you guys but I changed that and looked at it in a different way because im happy for you guys that you get to have such a great life😘

@@DayByDayVlogs I'm getting there Laura, after having sepsis and being in icu, I'm lucky to be here, I'm going to go and see Ruby today and maybe have a 30 minute ride on her, just to start getting myself back to a normal routine slowly, I'm really lucky that she is in full livery and I have known the owner of the yard for 35 years as that is where I learned to ride, and had my first pony there when I was younger x
I had been leasing a horse called Star and i leased him for about a year and i have built so much bond in him and i leased him for a comp for dresserge showjumping and sporting is barrles and bending and key whole and he would barly spook at any thing he was a gold plamnio but sadly i had to stop leasing him because he could not canter or jump high but i loved him so much now i have not been able to seen him about 4 months and its breaks my heart he was the best horse ever and all i want to do with him is take him to the beach so thats all i wish for Christmas is to vist him and ride him again. He is out in the field agian so i did all that work on him now he sits in a fiels. The funny thing about him he did pig route at a juge when were at a comp. im the same as gabby i went cross country with my horse and he never jumped a thing when my instructor said to me i think its time to get a new horse and i immediately started bawling my eyes out and the instructor left and i was aloud to keep riding and i got him over almost everything and any time my mum or dad brought it up i would walk away and cry but now my horse is AMAZING but im looking for a lease at the moment just while i work with my horse and im going to take the lease to states and probably keep him or her for a year while i work with mine my horse isnt going anywhere xx im glad to know im not the only one

i’m very much so on the same boat as gabby. for YEARS i didn’t want to leave my old lease mare, or that barn. i would sob and scream and completely close myself off until i felt ready to discuss. i knew to become a better equestrian i had to stop riding her and it’s not a decision i regret. i think everything will work out in the long run. i enjoy seeing your videos and how you keep it real. keep doing what you do! ❤️❤️❤️

two years ago I brought my first horse and the best horse I have ever owned/ridden. I was not born into wealth, I bought my horse for $350. She has taught me so much and got me so far. I think that everyone should be able to find that one horse that changes there whole life in a good way. I think that Gabby should stick with storm until she is ready to move on without anyone pushing her, she needs to cherish the moments with her heart horse!

Hey Day by Day! I thought this needs to be said. There might be a lot of hate in this world but there also is a lot of love. I watch you guys everyday because my family can't afford for me to do lessons or own a horse. so when i watch you it makes me happy to see you happy with your horses. I am still very grateful for what i have.When you said we all make mistakes it made my day because i do gymnastics i make too many mistakes and I was like YUP!! But we also can learn from mistakes. I love you guys so much. Like i said earlier theres a lot of love and hate but a lot of people watch you everyday but can't like comment and subscribe. I love you guys. What that girl said I can relate to on so many levels. My upper level barrel horse (that I trained myself) I bought off the meat truck 10 months pregnant for 200$. That's all we could afford at the time for a horse. It was the best thing I ever did. It's not about the money you spend on the horse, its not about how much you can do with the horse, it's about the bond and trust you and the horse have for each other. Yes you can have a horse that competes great but if you and the horse dont trust each other then are yall really having fun. Yes some people have more money then others but it's not about the money. Hold your head high.

I just bought a completely untouched colt for only 300. It was hard to do anything with him including feeding and even cleaning up after him. He had no human contact and didn’t trust a soul and now he’s the sweetest little guy ever! I have always wanted horses and the first one I’ve ever got we had to sadly give her away. I though we would never get another and then we did and he is my big old baby! I dreamed of having more than one horse and I just prayed and prayed and eventually my herd grew and now I have 4 little munchkins😅 although we don’t have the best barn or a arena I’m still very grateful for what I do have!

I really love what that girl had to say. Laura, You and I have discussed “jealousy” in the recent past and opinions about it. It’s a tough one to deal with and I am a grown adult! I shamefully admit that this past year I have been in a negative state of mind. Mostly due to being so unwell and not having all the answers as to what is making me so unwell. When you are in a negative space, jealousy easily creeps in and as humans, we can easily forget the wonderful gifts we have in our lives already! Much like the girl who wrote the comment to you, my mare Ember was a rescue. She was $500.00 CAD. She is a Standardbred and at the time I had NO IDEA what a standardbred was! Gaited?!? What is that!?! 7.5 yrs of tears and struggle! This year while being ill and unable to do anything that I wanted to do, I became angry and upset and jealous of what I didn’t have. I lost friends whom I thought were friends and many times I lost hope. Fairly recently i started to change my thoughts to positive ones and look for the wonderful things I DO have! I have a mare that I love and I know she takes care of me and knows me and in a horse way, loves me too 💞🐴 I have a home, my dogs and cats, parents who love and do anything for me, half decent health care that, for the most part we don’t have to pay for, and a select couple of friends that return my messages consistently even just to say HI. (I had neighbours that would but they have stopped UNLESS they want something from me which actually really hurts my heart. It is what it is though and I cherish the couple of friends I DO have. I cherish having the chance to watch your family grow and to be able to converse with you. Jealousy is, again, a hard one. We all want more. I know for myself, I’m working on changing that feeling of jealousy to “how do I go about getting what I want more out of my own journey”. Set positive goals. Block those who have negatively impacted me even if it’s just in the comment section, and always remind myself what I am thankful for. On Instagram I followed a lovely lady named Britney Crosby. She was fighting late stage Ovarian cancer and she beat the odds SO many times. Her husband posted some beautiful photos with a beautiful write up on his beautiful wife 2 days ago.... Britney lost her battle. She had a saying, “Live Life On Purpose”. Forget about what others have. If you wish for more in life, take the steps necessary to work towards them and always remind yourself of the amazing blessings you already have! 💞🙏 I know that you have been looking out for me and yet I didn’t know this until our chat yesterday and I REALLY am grateful for that! 💞🙏 More than you can possibly know, especially while I was in this dark period of life that I’m pulling myself out of! I will say right here right now that one of my true blessings is being able to know you and your family. You spread kindness everywhere you go and to complete strangers. You allow us into your lives and I am so blessed to be apart of your Day by Day Family. Because really, life is lived day by day. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” @daybydayvlogs (I hope this run on paragraph makes some sense 😉 Now I’m off to meet up with my sister as we are taking our pups to see Santa and I am BLESSED to be able to do this together with all 4 of our beloved fur-kids 🎄💞 (especially during an Ice/Snow storm! ❄️🌨😳) Please pray for me as it sounds wicked out there!!!

You hit the nail on the head. Enjoy what you have not what you don’t have. We are not seeing everything in your life. What people don’t realise is life isn’t perfect and I’m sure you like everyone has bad days. The fact is people you cannot expect a life someone has if you’re not going to do the same things they have to get there. Watch their old films and you’ll see it wasn’t always like the now for them. Sam needs to be away a lot and I’m sure he would love to be home with his family more. You’ve got to make sacrifices to get where you want and what you want sometimes. There is no shame in not being rich or famous or having it all. Live your life your way and as we say take each day because no day is a given and life is so very precious. Enjoy that $800 horse heck I don’t even have one yet. So remember if you are always looking for what you don’t have, just stop for a moment and look at what you do. Love to all of you 💕

I wanted to lease a horse since Im still growing.. I just started lessons Im going to my 7th tomorrow and my family and I have just fell in love with horses especially now that Im working with them and riding. I've wanted to do this for years and now I finally get to. I can jump 2 hole high jumps and I can canter.. We asked the stables how much to lease a horse and they said that, "Around here, you need to spend around 15,000-30,000 dollars to get a good looking and working horse" My dad also pays like $560 for 8 lessons and I just want to ask if thats reasonable... I live in New York so I know its a bit different but do you think its reasonable? My dad said if they keep asking for us to lease so we can board it their and stuff we might have to find a different stable but I love my instructor, she's sweet and is just like a 20 year old me.. I also like the horses there so I really dont want to move stables.. Anyways, thank you for this video.. I found out a little bit more of what I have to do even though im too young to have a job..

I feel sad, i have to give my horse up, but at least hes going to a supposedly great place were they can ride him everyday hopefully. In his prime he was a hunter and dressage horse and showed in Florida i think and he got some really great scores at 1st level dressage and even won a couple. I hope to shoot some videos and pics before he leaves. They said I can visit him. And when its time to cross over the rainbow bridge my friend said he can come back for his final resting place. He’s 24yrs old gelding. I hope one day I can find another horse to ride and show. I might take some lessons first and then look in leasing a horse but I know sometimes your not able to show them. Which I want to do, before I get to old. Im 53yrs old. And maybe one day I can meet up with you guys. Sincerely, Amy

My horse was $600 because he had a hernia so he was going to be dog food but my step mum bought him for her and I wanted a horse so she gave him to me, and I love him so much, it’s funny because the other day I was grooming him in his paddock and I was doing his back foot so I dropped the leap rope like I always do so he cantered off from me and kicked out and almost kicked me

I honestly feel the sane way about my horse as Gabby because one day my mom came up to me and she said I should sell my horse Murphy (of course Gabby's not selling him but) and I couldn't I couldn't stop crying looking at pictures of him thinking of him because I couldn't give up on him because one day when I was with him I said I would never give up on him.
As I remember mainly because it’s been so long ago, I think I paid $400.00 dollars for my horse and he was the sweetest most willing horse that I could have ever owned. The price of the horse doesn’t matter as long as it’s the horse for you. I never jumped him because I too scared to I rode English and Western and won ribbons on him in show, not anything really important but for me it could have been the most important show in the world. So please don’t feel bad if you can’t afford to buy an expensive horse as long as it’s the horse for you.
I can really relate to the girl that made that comment, because financially we’re going through a hard time right now and all my life I’ve been kind of on the poor side..
With ups and downs of coarse.
But two years ago in September I bought the horse that I have now Logan for $300 he wasn’t trained, he had grown up in a pasture with other horses and pet once in a while, barely started on how to lead a week before I got him, and that was all he knew he wasn’t gelded when I got him, I had to get him gelded.
Now two years Later, I rode him for the first time at a gallop this summer!💞
he knows how to walk trot and canter both ways on the lunch he knows back up, good on ground manners he knows how to let me do his feet since I can’t afford the Farreir I learned to do is feed myself :)
I’ve been his Farreir, his vet, his trainer, his groomer, his rider, and most importantly I’ve been able to be the proud owner of
this beautiful boy!💞🥰
He will be four in March I got him when he was a year and five months old.
Through all this time we’ve been through some ups and downs together and I wouldn’t traded a moment of it for anything!💖
Someday I want to be like you guys have my own farm and plenty of horses and all the stuff they need😊
