Why do people have such a ridiculous attitude to single mothers? My mother became a single mother after my father died when I was three years old! Why would people like Jonah despise me and my mother because my mother was a single mother through no fault of her own? Jonah's attitude shows what a nasty person he is. I wouldn't have waited for Jonah to break up with me. I would have broken up with him and then hung up in his ear and blocked him!

My aunt's 1st husband died when I was young. She had 4 kids with him, the oldest just about to start HS, the youngest not even in kindergarten yet. And she was single up until everyone was in HS, when she started a relationship rhat lasted 2 decades until illness took him.
The 2 youngest who were raised with her as the sole parent are both very successful in their lives, the other 2 were to old to really count as a single parent child.

He sounds as this guy, whom dated my older sister by three years. She was in high school, I was in jr high, she and I have good parnets, but the doodoo brain of a sexist male person, my sister was dating decided to say something awful about our mom, which my sister dumped him on the spot.
There's a lot of reasons why someone could have been raised by a single mother/father. Most of them extremely valid. He's just a judgmental jerk, and she deserves better. Besides, a single parent household is healthier than a household with parents who stay together despite hating each other and creating an extremely toxic environment for the children.

I actually like telling ppl I have 4 parents (divorce, remarriage). My bio parents just weren’t right for each other. My stepmom is awesome and has unofficially adopted me. My stepdad raised me and was the best for my mom. He and mom also gave me a younger sibling. So I see ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with blended families. I got 4 parents and 10 siblings outta it!!!
Same here. My parents split when I was a toddler, and my dad's been remarried for as long as I can remember. As far as I'm concerned, I grew up with an extra set of aunts, uncles, cousins, a bonus grandmother, and a second mom.
