Oleksandr Butkevych

Oleksandr Butkevych of Ukraine, the father of Maksym Butkevych, a human rights activist and prisoner of war, accepts the Anne Frank Special Recognition Award on behalf of his son.
Maksym Butkevych received the award for his work to uphold human rights and combat xenophobia and racism. A volunteer member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he is imprisoned in the Russian occupied region of Luhansk, Ukraine.
