Find alternatives to Adobe and other software. I still can't believe some people still use Adobe after what they did this year lol. It's like you all are addicted to always paying to use your computer. I know Gimp and others are not as advanced but you don't need much. When Harmony comes I will welcome it and just look for alternatives to the apps I used. I finally mad ethe leap to all Huawei P40 Pro, watch and ear buds which I dropped my samsung A54. Was the best decision ever and like I said I had to just find some alternatives to the apps I used. The main issue why Windows is still in the lead? Most people make excuses why they need to stay on Windows like gaming or photo shop etc. I'm running Manjaro for bout a year and can game just as good and sometimes better than my old Windows 11 install and I have so many more options for different software. Sometimes you have to drop what you know and learn something new so you can be free.
Realistically, it can't really compete with even MacOS. They are essentially blocked from the US market, which limits their impact. Companies like Adobe for example have zero incentive to back this new architecture because they are not welcomed in the US. That's just one example, there are several other ones.
I confuse about HarmonyOS Next which said not Linux or Unix . continue search based on OpenHarmony which is linux . if HarmonyOS Next not based on Linux then it could only be another variants of unix ( msdos or mac another variants of unix) Linux free software but Unix is proprietary . I doubt huawei has the ability to create a new OS which will require alot people and time .do you lnow many lines of codes to write a compiler . we will know when PC version released, we will know by the Filesystem it support . , I hope not using KIRIN.
Huawei has no commented on this yet, but I believe since the super device functions are part of huawei's ecosystem the likelihood of it being available is very very high
We will surely have to wait for the final product to come out, but as usuall Huawei will surely take inspiration from MacOS and Windows which wouldn't be a bad idea. Usually to avoid the situation where the Os will look unfamiliar to user Huawei may have to pick inspiration from already existing oS in the short-term. This was the same strategy used with the release of the harmony oS for smartphones
