What most marketplace founders don’t realize is that big public marketplace companies focus 99% on monetization which leaves you with an extra supply that is fairly easy to attract. In the other hand, demand won’t follow even if your marketplace liquidity is good ( for Uber: liquidity is lead time by X minutes..) especially if switching cost are high for demand even if it’s usability costs ( downloading another app for ex…)
