As a paramedic we were told that more accidents happen with farming implements on a farm (in your case an abandoned airport) than on any other place on earth. My paramedic magazine’s had numerous articles covering farm implement accidents! Tractors are nothing to take lightly.
I'm trying to get more experience before I squish myself or the wife! I didn't know that statistic. Anything around heavy or strong machinery is dangerous as heck.
Very true, especially with older equipment that has zero safety features built in! My tractor is a 67 international harvester 444. Oil works better than grease on stuff like pins and swivels. You don't really need it, but oil helps free stuff up and dissappears over time, whereas grease holds the dirt and gets hard and leaves you with a build-up. Especially in a sandy environment, dry might be better than greasy. I use motor oil for many applications it's cheap and the old used stuff is a freebie. It works great on all kinds of things like hinges and swivels and anti rust. Mice don't like oily things as well. WD-40 by the jug dissappear even faster but is great for cleaning oily and greasy stuff it won't hurt plastic rubber electrical and most painted surfaces except clear coats.

with the quick attach you flip the levers up to Unhook, when hooking up the implement pins will "click" past the lock dogs There's a nifty little thing called breaks, they work well for holding the tractor still when trying to hook an implement, or you can bounce back n forth on an incline fighting the hydrostatic drive
The hydraulic Top Link can be used to put down force on 3 Point implements and to adjust blade angles among other things. The bracket on the top is sometimes used on Post Hole Diggers to put down force on the auger instead of just gravity force. The "Danuser 20/40" Post Hole Digger has the option for a down force cylinder for example.
