Today we had a 280 lb woman causing a stink because the horse riding business refuses to let anyone over 240lbs ride their horses.
But, she loves horses! Right?
You know those rides at the fair all over America, where there 4 horse in a circular corral. They are harnessed to a 4 armed apparatus that allows them to walk in a circle. You pay a couple bucks and you can ride on one for 5 minutes or so. I remember an old video clip from America's funniest home videos. Where a lady was trying to ride one. The animal was not able to lift her. She was probably 5' 4" and 300 lbs. The horse was sitting on its hind quarters, refusing to even get up with her in the saddle. The attendant was slapping the horse on its back hips pretty hard to convince it to stand up. IT DID. THEN IMMEDIATELY BUCKED THAT LADY OFF. HE BUCKED TWICE. THE FIRST ONE LAID HER BACKWARDS ALMOST COMPLETELY FLAT LAYING ON HER BACK, ON THE HORSES BACK HIPS. THE SECOND BUCK, LAUNCHED HER STRAIGHT UP AT LEAST 8 FEET OFF THE GROUND. THE GROUND SHE LANDED ON. IN THE SAME POSITION SHE WAS IN WHEN SHE CAME OFF THE HORSE. FLAT ON HER BACK GROM 8 FEET UP. AT 5' 4" and 300 lbs. I think she died.

@@donadeavera9608She wasn’t an Animal right activist. They do not agree with riding horses at all. I’m an animal rights activist, but ur standard type. No mistreatment of animals. Like if she was allowed to, that could be an issue for the horse. And that is where I would have the issue.

I know a woman who gives a lot to animal rights organizations but will not give anything to help children. Some take this way too far.
Animals need our help than kids. There needs to be some way of letting people know (obvious they don’t) they need to plan for finances of larger brood. When they have a hard time then they are in need for all these children (even adopted). I was talking a long time ago to the husband of my son’s sunday school teacher and he was saying we need to help the unfortunate kids - I said to him they need to stop living in the 9th century and have all these kids.
And some people give to neither. What are they?

I think instead of trying to protect specific animals, it might be better to focus on removing the demand. But I'm not sure how you can remove demand for fish, meat, poultry... "other"... without somehow replacing these frankly excellent sources of protein with something equally practical. And even if you could, how many people would genuinely want to.

My first exposure to Brad's comedy was at a Promise Keepers Meeting in PDX. He did this bit along with all of "Put A Helmet On!"

I try my best at chirping back, but I think it's laughing at my accent every other chirp...

This was too funny…and he speaks reason. There was an episode on “Designing Women” in which they were pushing PETA, and the owner (can’t remember her name) of the firm was donating her mother’s fur while trying to sound “holyier than thou” to the receptionist who reiterated how everything on a farm (they knew she grew up on one) was fair game. Leather was transformed into some kind of footwear. The insanity was that they were opting for fake fur to which Charlene responded she wouldn’t wear an item made from a petroleum derivative…just like the Stop Oil people wear tennis shoes made from petroleum as well as a backpack, sunglasses etc.
How is this comedy (not about him) when it’s reality? That’s how far some people have departed from reason.
When my son had the neighbor dog run across the street and bite him close to the femoral artery, the owner of the dog came over begging me not to have the dog get in trouble. I looked down at my son. Looked back at her and said, "My son is a human. Your dog is an animal."

Humans are humans, or perhaps people, if you’d prefer.
The distinction between human and animal is not just biological, but philosophical. The fact that we can even debate over philosophy is proof that we are very different than any non-human animal on the planet. That intelligence means we are physically different than other animals as well. Our brains are far more developed, and have developed in a way that is truly unique. No animal thinks like us, or even moves like us, even animals that are considered close relatives.
Because of these unique qualities, it is not unreasonable to classify humanity separately from animals even though we can be categorized as multicellular, eukaryotic, heterotrophs. Of course, this is purely from the perspective of secular sciences. The religious view is much simpler. God made man to be above all animals, which is an instinct most humans have. The idea that we are just animals usually has to be taught.

I have to say this : Most people suck. I’m liking animals more and more as life goes on.
I absolutely agree. I spent decades in an organization trying to help people and finally gave up. Most people really do suck. I now rescue animals. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of hours and suffered a lot of inconvenience, but I don't regret any of it. The more I'm around animals, the more I like them.

Normally I don’t like comedians because they point out people’s faults or character flaws:
But this one has a truth regarding a factuality.
Animals can’t make their own decisions regarding life or responsibilities… yet there are people who want to protect animals from humans thinking or believing because they have no rights… so they seek to create laws for the sake of the Animals…
However: those same activists take the right’s away from an unborn baby… believing it’s not human until it is born out from the womb.
It is truly hypocritical for a vegan/vegetarian to be in favor of abortion, but I would guess that most vegans MIGHT actually be pro-life. I remember looking it up and I couldn't find much statistics, but I came across a poll on a >>woke

A. Flood an anthill with the garden hose.
B. Rip a grasshoppers legs off

D. Fried a bug under a magnifying glass.

I did practice my batting swing on lightning bugs when I was little, though.
I don't even know what tuna looks like, I always imagined they come in the can.
But yeah, most of our problems come from having too many people, so my advice always to these activists is, less people, start with yourself, it is really cheap too.
Actually we need more people, but less cities. People density is the issue but we have plenty of land left to put them in. And the more people we get the more minds will be left over after doing the work necessary to survive. Thus we get more innovation which gives us even more resources to work with.

One time when I took my daughter to the park it was goose season. Dozens of them by the pond. Geese ain’t friendly for those who don’t know. I had the umbrella stroller just in case but at her age not walking was unthinkable. So I carried it over my shoulder, casually, kinda like a goose wacker club just in case. Now I already know of a nature center nearby that I would have take the orphan goslings if things got real enough. But suppose I lost that fight. You know those geese would never do the same thing to care for my daughter afterwards.

Very talented. Glad youtube showed him to me. I never thought to search conservative comics. He missed the mark on a lot of these points though. As a long time AR activist I can tell you these folks do not waer leather, eat tuna, smash bugs (on purpose). It's not possible to avoid all harm to other species but everyone can consider the impact of their actions.That kind of activism is not my focus these days as humainity is under attack by dark forces. Gotta take a minute from fighting tyrany to catch some comedy though! I'm interested to hear his rants on other issues. I watched one on gender and one on voting.

I don't disagree that some animals need protection from greedy people and abusive people, that shouldn't be tolerated, however AR activists can be extreme and from what I've seen they have liberal ideologies, and say they don't believe in An intelligent Higher power or religion, they believe in darwinism,b/c of that they think like they do,that humans should not kill anything,nor eat anything with a face, etc...then they go to big brother government to push rigid restrictions on those people, like what's happening now,our right to eat meat,not all people kill animals for sport,and money,your activism hasn't restricted those who do,has it, trophy hunting still allowed, but soon eating animals for survival is soon to be illegal, thanks A.R activists what shall we eat if you throw a fit because they are growing bugs to force us to eat. AR activists I do believe in a creator has name is YAHUAH, and his word tells us we may eat animals for survival that means anything specific sea life,and specific mammals like a cow,or birds,but people who look to themselves as Supreme authority think they know better, eventually YAH will reward his people,and they will have better bodies,not of flesh,so the need for animal flesh will no longer be a need or desire,so really who are you to be dictators over food,YAH calls such people who value plants,animals etc. More than human life,as people who worship creation instead of the creator and I agree 💯 % liberals really do prove that the word of YAH and his wisdom is true and reliable. @@benstepanek2808No they don’t…they need seals because they have the most fat…many sharks kill humans (eventually) but that’s because they are almost blind and they feel reverberations in the water, attack, but they have a sensory tool that tells them how much fat the prey had - the bite is almost deadly and with all that blood they go in a frenzy.

@@kath5201 If a Christian uses the old testament as the rules to live by, they missing the entire point of Christianity, along with many others I'm afraid. Alot of the old testament is about showing mistakes made, what NOT to do and the new testament is all about clarifying which parts and which, what to follow, what not, where things went wrong, where they didn't. If the old testatment was all it cracked up to be, wouldn't have needed Christ and the new testament to come later and clarify things for the feeble mortals who didn't get it first time round.

Animals do know death. They mourn. Some have funerals. Elephants, crows, likely others. Critters have a full range of emotions.They remember, they learn, they communicate. Many teach their offspring, nurse. Many have families and/or communities. They work, sometimes as a team. Some plan for food shortages. Many have hierarchy. Some primates even have war. They aren't in God's image. But they are his creation and loves them. We're supposed to take care of them.
Not at the expense of our own, though. God saved man, not beast.
I saw a video from a guy that trained monkeys. He had a monkey that was fluent in sign language and he could tell the monkey to do things which the monkey would understand and do. So he tells the monkey go get your food dish but the dish is hidden behind his back instead of where it is suppose to be. The guy then explained while that monkeys will never ask questions. That monkey will look for his food dish and eventually give up but he will never ask "where is my food dish?".
The point is animals do a lot of things that look like human things. But they are not human things, they are instinct. Same with AI really.

@@feathertralia4703maybe be more specific, a unbeliever might not know that during the flood,he did save animals that breathed air,but when you refer to eternal salvation that is only for humans omiy we are made with a need to worship someone or thing,only we have a desire to live forever because YAH put that in our souls. YAH said that animals were inferior to us,for these reasons, he did expect us to be good stewards over them,and that people would rise up and forbid the eating of foods,that includes animals, because he told noe that mankind could hunt for food,so animals don't just exist for our pleasure but for food,think about it,their would not be abundant plant life, fir awhile so animal flesh would be a prominent source of nourishment its not until his promises to Abram that brought in dietary restrictions ,but it wasn't a restriction of animal flesh all together it was a restriction of unclean animals like pigs, and sea life that dwells on the bottom, and type of birds a cow was clean because it has at least 2 stomachs as it is written they chew the cud so they were clean, but a pig didn't so its unclean, birds are a different matter so I don't remember how it was determined unclean or clean. We know most fish are good,because the apostles were fisherman and they are fish during the messiahs ministry, they did not eat shell fish,or octopus, for one they didn't fish that deep, and 2 shellfish were on the restriction list. So yeah there's that. YAH bless
