hey is there any setting for selecting object ONLY that is INSIDE the selection area/marquee not that everything that touched? (just like coreldraw, inkscape and most all other CAD programs)
@@pentoolartist yeah and it's been 20+ years they still don't have it... good thing at least there's option for "object selection by path only" btw thanks for your reply.

@@celinesalman I am not sure what you mean by "Slides" in your Illustrator File?
@@pentoolartist slides- I meant "pages" of the file I opened in illustrator. It had 29 pages and I couldn't view them all to start practicing.

When I set my units > general > inches this does not stay, every time I open a new document it goes back to points. Any suggestions?

Sorry. Not that I know of..... Whatever that Selection Marquee hits, it will be Selected.

Make sure your UNITS value for TYPE is Set to POINTS in the next Preference in Illustrator so they match
