That being graduated from USC as an economics is not the whole world... Thanks for this video and to the young fellow Martinez Keep up the good work
You son reminds me of me. I’m Salvadoran-American as well, I also sort of fell into that conveyor belt mentality that was getting that degree from that prestigious school, getting my ideal job, and then propelling myself into success. The pandemic had me unemployed so I took the liberty to work abroad and it completely opened my eyes to culture, community and a completely different sense of what is truly important. American culture is “living to work” so people here are more likely to put an emphasis on the degree, on the job, on the status in order to convey the message they’re successful when they might actually be miserable.

I relate to the story
Hi Antonio - thank you for watching and your comment - 💙🙏🇸🇻 you are not alone in this 💙
❤what an amazing story being said through your Channel, His words hit me hard specially the part of him telling his personal feel of shame of being Salvadoran because of our past as a country, also the part where he tells that Salvadorans we lost our identity is so true since Salvadorans we are welcoming warm and kind is who we are a warm and welcoming people and the last years of my life in El Salvador that was a disappearing trend due to the conditions that existed at that time, …a lot of my earlier experiences telling Canadians where I was from were attached to this feeling of shame after their reaction or comment “ Oh you are from El Salvador 🇸🇻 ,I heard on the news about it, things are really terrible down there … “ ; thank you Nicki and James for showing the newest brightest side of not only of all Salvadorans but also of our beautiful land , countinue creating content it’s a pleasure to see our Country YOUR COUNTRY YOURS AND MINE where We IDENTIFY WITH each other as being kind and caring towards each other. SALUDOS ❤ 🍁.
Gracias Ricardo for your comments and speaking your truth. Sending you the warmest wishes and we will enjoying sharing more of this wonderful country and its beautiful people 💙🙏🇸🇻💙

I went to El Salvador 🇸🇻 for the first time in 40 years. I was there 3 times in 2019. I grew up in Southern California since I came at the age of 4. I fell in love 🥰 with my country and it’s people. Due to COVID I haven’t been back. Hopefully next year, I’ll go back. Anyhow, I would move. Don’t get me wrong I love Cali too but I would retire in El Salvador in a heartbeat 💓

@@njelsalvador definitely have huge interest, thank you for your suggestion and thank you for loving our country, as a kid that suffered the post war, the break up of family by migration, the gang issue at first hand… all I can say is this is how history is made. We are in the middle of something big and I am more than excited for the future.
@@jmendez8462 - that is great to hear and best of luck 🙏💙🇸🇻
I am sure that many will return now that the country is heading for development and this country allows it, there are opportunities to invest in properties, invest in hotels, restaurants, etc. and with bitcoin it will be better for many foreigners. Those who are currently in this beginning of development will also have many benefits in a few years.
Hi Donaldo - thanks for you comment and yes we agree.
Sorry man but never in my life have I been ashamed,or embarrassed to be Salvadorian. I came to the US at 9 years old in 1981 and have always been proud of my country and my people. Never had an identity crisis either.
Hi Nahum1972, that is awesome. Great to hear. Thank you for sharing.
I really hope these people don’t bring the house prices up…. Please do not OVERPAY . Don’t screw locals over plz
Hi River J - it is the last thing we want to do, we find that it is the locals wanting more than we are willing to pay.
What about if I don’t wanna go back to ES?
Hi Samuel, hopefully you get to go and be where you want to live you life, everybody has different dreams 💙🙏

Hi Jaime - thank you for watching and your comment - so well written and received 🙏💙🇳🇮
