Ah, the A9+ is nice! I have the 4GB Ram/64GBROM version. I use it for media listening & passive income, thus I didn't pick up the 8GB one. If necessary I'll upgrade to the S10 FE when that comes out. Only issue is that the version of TalkBack is older than the latest one on my Samsung S23+, but that's to be expected. I have the commentary/Jieshuo screen reader alongside it, so I'm not missing much. Same goes for no Galaxy AI (besides circle to search thanks to the Gemini app). The Gemini & Bing apps do just fine.
Premium price definitely turned me away. I would have bought one and several more for my family if it was priced around A9+ or cheaper. I understand trying to compete with the Samsung/Apple tablets but they should have made a basic features media tablet version like the Fire tablets. All we do is watch RUclips, RUclips TV, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. I feel like it would have sold great to filthy casuals like us 🤣
The reason why they're killing off the tablet. they're making a laptop to compete against the MacBook. they're going to combine Android and Chrome. new OS is already in development for a while. Android authority 9:00 to 5 already said this
I think we should have seen this coming after the one-time Chrome OS Pixel Slate 2-in-1, not to mention Google's reputation for cancelling things. I am still looking to get a tablet, but it will likely be an iPad with Google Photos and Drive installed for easy syncing with my Pixel 8 Pro.
I actually went the other direction this year. I swapped my foldable for a pixel 9 pro and pixel tablet. This setup works so well for me that I also ditched my Chromebook after I added a keyboard to the pixel tablet. I prefer the UI. My tab S8 ultra is collecting dust.
The Pixel tablet concept just didn't have enough perceived value, similar to the Xbox One with Kinect. But I still enjoy it and am interested in the upcoming Android laptop
At this rate, I won't even be surprised if the Pixel line ceases to exist within the next decade. If Pixel gets too big and starts to become a significant threat to Samsung and other OEMs, we'll have another Windows Phone situation like Microsoft/Nokia
I looked at one several times, but I know from earlier tablets, both Apple and Huawei, that I don't use it enough to warrant such a high price tag. What I did want it for is the holder making it basically a larger Nest Hub. Sweden never got the larger hub (max?) so a big screen hub would be very nice. Have a smaller hub in every room casting stuff from YT left and right when I do other stuff. Prefer that instead of the pure speakers as I'm a YT nut basically. However, the price even now during sales are too steep for what I'm using it for. Strange that Google can't make a better and larger (~10") hub that I can buy in Sweden for let's say around $300-350. The Pixel tablet with the base is twice or more here, even now on sale. Too much for me. Google is part of my daily life since many years, both services and hardware, so I keep hoping they can make a better hub with a price tag suiting people who are retired. I love my 9 pro XL even though it was expensive, but I use it 24/7 and got a great deal also, buying it on release day. Have had many phones, but as you said earlier, Google did things right with the 9, and after the first Pixel on the Swedish market, the 7, which I also thought was really good besides the curved screen, I will probably continue on that path as long as Google keeps making such overall great phones. You are really working hard doing informative and great videos at a steady pace, thanks!
These manufacturers must realize that what majority of people care most about on a tablet is the SCREEN. 120hz 1440p OLED minimum for me. (don't care about brightness as outside I use my phone)
Love my Pixel tablet. Primarily used by my 5 year old but it's great that it charges on the stand when he's not using it. Happy 5 year old, happy parents. 😂
They did not put very much effort into their tablet and their actions show they were not serious about competing in that market. They could have made something great. Such a shame
Perhaps they should have provided software like Samsung Dex or Motorola Ready For ..at least it would have made the tablet more dual purpose. I know Chromebooks are similar, but the normal android apps work a bit better than Chromebook slightly virtual apps. And thinner form factor in tablets. There are some good deals with Pixel tablets at the moment...but security updates run out in June 2028 I think.
I dunno what Google are doing with the tablet, but they're sure as hell ruining their 9 Pro XL, Pixel phones used to be so reliable the cameras especially, now, the camera isn't as good as my old 4XL was.... 😮
They are definitely not done with tablets. But I would not be surprised if they delay the pixel tablet 2 by a few years. They should wait till they have a much bigger user base and then make a really good one. I for one would not buy a pixel tablet 2 if it came out in the next couple years because it's not going to have good specs.
We have to be very honest. Apple and Samsung have set the trend and all that Google has to do, is to build on what is already there. All the devices they have built should have formed a compelling ecosystem. However, everything we have received has been somewhat archaic in design. Look at the short fall of the tablet, huge bezels, poor app optimization. That shouldn't be today.
Trading in the iPad Pro 4th gen for the Pixel Tablet with dock lol. Considering the entire family has Pixel Phones, the Pixel tablet will get updates for longer, battery life is better (which is one of the most important things to us), and hardcore amazing specs are the least of our worries for what we use it for. I did hear that the speaker isn't very loud, and that is a little disappointing tbh ...but for the most part, I think trading in the iPad for it is a no brainer for us lol.
Google randomly cancelling things is the most irritating thing about google.
I hope they don't cancel pixel phones 😢
@ Based on Google's track record it wouldn't surprise me.
First my PixelBook Go and now my Pixel Tablet 2. I'm sorry Google, if you don't believe in your products then how do you expect us to believe in them?
They need to bring the Pixel 9 build quality to the tablet platform.
if no one bought their cheap tablet, I really don't think they're going to buy a probably around $1,000 googled tablet
Say it louder for people in the back!
I recently bought the onn. Tablet from Walmart. Blows the fire tablets.
@@videogamenoob100 Id get it and install GrapheneOS as usual.
How can we trust Google when they keep cancelling stuff???
Im watching this on the pixel tablet. Love the stand and speakers. Hope they continue the software updates.
The biggest reason why I refuse to use do anything Google is because of this. They never stick to their guns.
This would be a huge step backwards for the Google ecosystem.
It's a shame, I love my pixel tablet
Biggest issue is that it was a budget tablet with a disproportionate price. My Lenovo P12 often outperformed my PIXEL tablet. Ditto with my A9+
It wasn't impressive at all

I'd heard they were cancelling the tablet due out next year, but still going forward with the 2027 release (which was to be the Pixel Tablet 3).
They might be holding back waiting to see how this DOJ monopoly case works out.
I bet it will be years before we know the answer to that. The lawyers are going to be raking it in.
I doubt it but you never know
That'll take years to end.
@michaelball93 Just like Microsoft.
I’m surprised u haven’t got more subs. U put a lot of work in. 😮

A laptop isn't a tablet
Could be 2 in 1 form factor like Microsoft surface? @@TechOdyssey

that sucks because I enjoy my pixel tablet and was looking forward to an improved later version with better screen and better processor

Are there any good android tablets or do we need to get an iPad mini to have a good tablet. :(
Samsung still has good teblets

We want premium features for premium prices. It isn't difficult
They haven't updated it for years

It was a halfway endeavor for sure
This is very typical of Google. Expensive and some weird decisions. You know what is the most popular Google item........ The Google Graveyard.
Perhaps they should have provided software like Samsung Dex or Motorola Ready For ..at least it would have made the tablet more dual purpose. I know Chromebooks are similar, but the normal android apps work a bit better than Chromebook slightly virtual apps. And thinner form factor in tablets.

I liked and wanted the tablet, but agree with you, it was too expensive.
Oh well... another decision, another thing added to the Google Graveyard... RIP ☠️👻
Their graveyard is running out of room
I hope its not true. 🤞🏽
Me too
I may be wrong or the article was wrong... But they're possibly making a Pixel Tablet 3. I hope they do!
I dunno what Google are doing with the tablet, but they're sure as hell ruining their 9 Pro XL, Pixel phones used to be so reliable the cameras especially, now, the camera isn't as good as my old 4XL was.... 😮
Agreed
Imagine how good the Pixel 9 line would be if Google still used Snapdragon.
Sales say otherwise
@@jevonsims900 I dunno what's happened pixel used to be the best cameras.
Not sure what's wrong with your 9 Pro XL, but mine is fantastic.
Hopefully their pixel laptop with the new os will be good as i was looking at chrome books
The most inconsistent company out.
Size is the problem. We need a 7in tablet, not a laptop size tablet.
If this is true, I'm gonna assume it might have something to do with the whole Android chromeOS thing. Might be coming sooner than later.
I thought they'd be coming out with a pro version of the Google pixel tablet. Kind of to compete with the Samsung Galaxy tab s series

Dude, you're just a fan boy of accurate and honest evaluations of technology.
lol. Is there such a thing?
Walmart has the niche tablet market cornered.
Lol
The tablet wasnt good and Sales showed it.
yuppppppp
Google killing of a product or service?!?! Say it ain’t so!!! 😂
Nice video
Yes but that might be because they are making the pixelbok go 2 and it wotn be Chromebook anymore. Chromebook will switch to android soon
it's going to be a laptop tablet
Pixel fold next to he cancelled
Hope not I love their fold, I do think with their mobile market picking up hopefully they don't
I read they are working on a new laptop
Sure. But that isn't a tablet
Ipad mini is a different breed
Good they are shit. So unresponsive and ghost touches the thing is effed
The what?
Not again 😂😭😭
Nice clickbait.
Maybe a foldable pixle tablet yeah!
I doubt it. Google is too cheap for that lol

Google graveyard 🪦 Google+ and so on.
