Universal design refers to a product, or even a physical location being made from the ground up with accessibility in mind. While accessibility is being talked about more, there is still a long way to go in making things accessible for the disability community. Here, I share my general thoughts on universal design, and how it is beneficial to me and how inaccessibility can also be detrimental to me and others.

Thank you. It’s one of those topics that doesn’t get much of a spotlight, but I can understand that if one doesn’t use any accessibility features then it can be easily forgotten. Eventually though, every one of us will end up using some sort of accessibility feature during our lifetime, whether temporarily or for good.
