Nice video. I just got the second generation version of the Pace 500 and I love it. My boss at work wanted to test it out when I got it. He rode it 5 minutes and ordered on for himself. As of now, the Pace 500.2 is only $999 but only available in the "regular" sized step-over frame in the So-Cal Sand color. It's an absolute steal at that price. I got the bike, their chain lock, fender kit, rear rack, and suspension seat pot for $1142 after local taxes. It's like riding a bike for the first time all over again.

Your review and overall assessment of the eBike was really informative and enjoyable to watch. It's great to see how this bike is making waves in the industry. Cheers from me, a fellow eBike enthusiast! 🚴‍♂Hey there, I just stumbled upon an exciting new crowdfunding project called the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike! It's a game-changer in the world of cycling. What sets it apart is the dual modes, including an indoor fitness mode where you can recharge the bike. How amazing is that? With its powerful motor, durable suspension, and puncture-resistant fat tires, this eBike can conquer any terrain. And the Smart Saddle Detection+ feature is an innovative addition that adds fitness goals, challenges, and motivation to your rides. I'm really excited about the possibilities this eBike brings! 🚴‍♂🌟

Two quick questions for any Pace 500.3 users. (1) Is the throttle a variable speed throttle? The throttle button on my Magnum eBike is All-or-Nothing and is not very convenient. If I want to just cruise very slowly using the throttle does that work? (2) This bike comes is a small and large frame. I'm 5'8 and my wife if 5'4. I'd like to buy the smaller frame version so we can both rider it, but am concerned that the smaller frame would not fit me. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    • @mikerochester
      @mikerochester  Год назад

It's going to depend if you get the step through model or the step over. They both use different size charts. I personally don't like to feel big on a bike.
      Pace 500.3 Step-Through
      Regular: 4'11" - 5'7"
      Large: 5'7" - 6'1"
      Pace 500.3 step over
      Regular: 5'3" - 5'10"
      Large: 5'10" - 6'4"
Also throttle on demand is going to go to the same speed regardless of what PAS level you're in, with the throttle pressed all the way down. .

It’s changing the game, however, make sure you buy the bike from a shop with good technicians, as the torque sensors they are using are not proven reliable and fairly expensive. Bottom bracket Torque sensors are basically a cheap strain gauge, that can easily get out of calibration and there is no fixing them. They need to be replaced, and would more than double the cost of any tune up. Could fail or change responsiveness in months or a couple years. Whereas a cadence sensor can be replaced basically in a quick visit if a mechanic is available at a shop, it’s quite a bit longer with aventons more complicated bottom bracket configuration torque sensor. The smooth feeling of the power response comes at a price and hassle that I doubt few shops are even aware of yet. Good luck everyone. The whole industry is playing copy cat and catch up, while also trying to squeeze prices down. The cost will be lack of reliability and more trips to the shop.

I definitely like the bike. But I don't like it enough to pay full msrp in this economy. Even Tesla is dropping prices like crazy to drive demand.

The quality of these Pace 500.3 is much worse than prior models. Buyer beware.

I wonder if yours had an issue. Mine is super solid.

I have the original version. Do you think the 500.3 would be a upgrade? Debating if I should keep the I have or update. Thanks

@@shorelinerach01 it's definitely upgraded and has new features The question's going to be if you like a torque sensor or cadence sensor. :)

One more question. Is this a little quieter than the original with cadence? Thanks again!🙂

@@shorelinerach01 I guess I never took notice however you would think a torque sensor would be a bit quieter as it's not a constant motor on to reach a certain speed. But wouldn't think this is something that would sway my decision one way or the other.
