I sourced myself a bottle of Arran 10 based on Phil's videos and was not disappointed. Also love the Deanston 12 and the Compass Box Spice Tree. Would love to see some Irish whiskey make the list - the Red Breast 12 is endlessly giftable and no one would say no to a bottle of RedBreast ever 👍🏻
Awesome list ! LOVE the Spice Tree such a great whisky for the low price ! Also Kilchoman Sanaig is THA BOMB! Bought 3 last years awesome ! Awesome !!!
Great list, glad to see the Sanaig which is fantastic and the Spice Tree is a whisky that I never run out of. Instead of the Zbiotics, I usually have what 'we' here in the UK call a pint. It provides hydration and sustenance, and when paired with a pie, ticks all the food groups. Cheers Phil merry Christmas!
Also here in Italy there's such a story, and I also used to believe it, but year after year it became absolutely wrong to me 😅 Although a beer is always a beer. Cheers!
I really dislike Glenkinchie 12. It had a weird farmy, burnt hay kind of note I cannot stand. Maybe I'll try it again later and discover that I like it. Or not. If Tamdhu wasn't so expensive where I am, I'd give it a shot. Have heard good things. Arran 10 is a sure shot. It's amazing. Deanston 12 is one I'd want to go back to at some point. I liked it, but can't recall quite what I liked. Ledaig 10 is really good and has an interesting and unique flavor profile. Good pick. Kilchoman Sanaig has impressed me and, along with the Machir Bay, raised my interest in the brand. Gotta try Compass Box at some point. I've liked my experience with craft blends so far so I'd love this as a gift. Longmorn 16 is so expensive in Germany, I'd love to try it sometime. Tasting packs are a really good gift, for sure. I wish 5cl samples were more freely available.
Imported a bottle of the Divergence PX to Melbourne mid year, had high hopes, but drinks quite young. Nice to have something from NZ in the cabinet though to offer friends
So…how do you intend to use ZBiotics when they don’t ship outside of United States? I understand having sponsorship deals that mostly cater to other countries, but it did make your promotional message read a little false. Sponsorship gripes aside, a great list and I apologise for paying attention to a part of the video many people would skip over anyway 😅
If you think about it why would a out of state company sponsor somebody that can’t ship to his viewers state like if you have a sponsor which I’m guessing your out of state the likenesses they would ship to the us is Very Minimal they would have to charge you a lot of money and it wouldn’t be worth it I’m sure there are alternatives to zbiotics
Hey man, love the videos. You've recommended some things that have become my favorites! Thank you. And if you ever come to Kentucky, I live in Louisville so I can help you find some bourbons if you're interested, I know they're pretty expensive in NZ.
Great list👍 I am yet to try Tamdhu 15 which I recently purchased and I am so looking forward to open it. Would like to compare it with the Glendronach 15 which is one of my favourite whiskies. Cheers
Hey Phil, I am coming to the south island of New Zealand soon for a couple of weeks, what would be some good distillieries to visit, or bottles to get?
Im super hyped for xmas. I have a bottle of deanston 12 under the tree. First time trying! Great video as always, im going to get a giant ice cube maker too haha
Growing up you get used to Christmas being a time to have BBQs and swims at the beach. So it didn’t seem weird. But when I lived in London the traditions, lights and festivities made a lot more sense.
You should mention that both Ledaig and Kilchoman have a strong “rubbery” taste in addition to the smokiness. The rubber taste is not to everyone’s liking, even if you’re a certified peat head.
OMG whisky Phil I don't know what's in the water in NZ but Glenlinckie 12 as a good introduction to a whisky novice I can think of at least of 10 better 12 year olds not so expensive that are far superior. The original glenfiddich 12 for a start. Achentoshen 12. Aberlour 12 Glenfarglas 12 And even Glenmorangie 10. All Miles better the Glenkinchie 12 and I have been to the distillery so I know. The Longmorn 16 ain't bad But Longmorn have a 18 year old limited edition whisky out there now its far superior to the 16
Nice list fella, that Longmorn box is slick and boy am I a sucker for that!
Nice to see some Kilchoman love! I think they're super underrated!
They are already beloved in the odd circles I get my whisky in :) but yessss honestly! Hope they carry on going from strength to strength
I think they are becoming my favourite Islay.

Redbreast is an excellent choice! Glad the Arran is good. Appreciate you watching!
Great list, man. Always happy to see a Longmorn mention, and you can't go wrong with Tamdhu 15! 🥃
Yes!
Always am thrilled to see a new video here, and really like the suggestions. Some of which I haven't thought of (or even tried yet myself!)
Thanks Mark! Appreciate that
This list makes me very happy. I have several of them already and have a couple others on my search list.
Delighted to see Compass Box Spice Tree make an appearance. An old favourite of mine.
Great list! Ledaig, Deanston & Arran are absolutely top drawer!
That Longhmorn looks amazing!
I’ve just home casked the Glenkinchie 12 in my sherry seasoned barrel, can’t wait to taste the outcome!
Awesome list ! LOVE the Spice Tree such a great whisky for the low price ! Also Kilchoman Sanaig is THA BOMB! Bought 3 last years awesome ! Awesome !!!
Tamdhu 15 is such a stand out dram, Also a big Kilchoman guy but I'd give Loch Gorm the nod over the Sanaig and is worth the extra few dollars
The Arran is fantastic. Would kill to find a cask strength offering of that
Great list video for good whiskies 👍. Enjoyed watching it Phil. Slàinte 🥃
Would not turn any of them down mate 🙂
GlenMoray 18 and Ledaig 18 my to Christmas treats , have a great festive period bud.

Great video Phil! Yeah no one's gonna turn their nose on Arran, Ledaig or Deanston 🥃 ps Great t-shirts 😃
Thanks mate! Definitely. Can’t go wrong with those
Aren´t you sweating with that christmas hat? xD
😂 100% Christmas needs better traditions for this hemisphere.
@@FirstPhilWhisky Wrong side of the world my friend. Is it confusing for you to watch Christmas movies with snow?
