Unforgettable New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom

Is Disney World worth the crowds on New Years Eve? We are about to find out, we were able to snag a park reservation for Magic Kingdom. Epcot was fully booked. I made sure to buy Genie plus since the park was going to be at capacity, I started booking lightening lanes at 7am so that we could ride some rides on the last day of the year. We got to the park around noon and it was crazy. Hours long for rides, people all over. It wasn't enjoyable! I got a last minute dinner reservation at The Plaza Resturaunt, it was delicious. We highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat there. I have a tip for dining, check late in the evenings for dinner reservations. Sometimes you get lucky! We hopped on a couple rides, some of our favs, Peter Pan and Big Thunder. We have been wanting to get Disney Couple embroidered ears for so long, and we got them. We got them done in thirty minutes which was awesome. They turned out so cute. The classic ears were comfortable too and stayed on while riding Big Thunder. We did something else that we normally don't do, waited an hour for NYE fireworks that started at 6:30pm, we knew that we wouldn't be able to hang with the ig dogs until midnight lol. Sad news the camera ran out of battery so we didn't get the countdown. Classic! lol In all honestly, we don't recommend going to Walt Disney world on New Years Eve, you are spending alot of money and only being able to ride maybe two rides, having to spend extra on lightening lane. It started to add up. We get asked all the time when is a good time to come. The week before thanksgiving, the week after thanksgiving and the second week of January if you still want to see Christmas Decor and have cooler weather.
