Another great reaction! :) Ronnie wrote this song while he was in prison and he has explained the meaning behind this song in interviews saying that the song is basically him looking at himself in the mirror, realizing that he is his own worst enemy, referencing particularly his struggles with addiction.
While the original version is upbeat and the video is kinda making light of the situation, I feel that the reimagined version is diving into the lyrics from a perspective of growth. Not only as an artist, but as the person that Ronnie has become - overcoming his past struggles.
Suggestions to other FIR songs: "Chemical prisoner", "Raised by wolves" and "Fuck you and all your friends".
Amazing how Ronnie can take the same lyrics and completely change the song. Love these two songs, especially the reimagined one. Loved this 💜💜

Couple things you wouldn’t have noticed are Ronnie was wearing fangs in this as an Easter egg for “I’m Not a Vampire Revamped”. And the girl in this is the girl from “The Drug In Me Is You” album.

While I’ve had im not a vampire, original drug in me is you and pick up the phone songs on my playlist for years and years it was the more recent song popular monster that hurdled me full speed ahead into becoming a major fan and diving into past and newer releases. Literally the only band I get excited about and wait in anticipation for new music. Went to 3 concerts the last couple years and they kill it live too. My mom and my 12 yo daughter like them, that’s a testament in my opinion of how dynamic and talented
