The whole thing was wonderful, but I loved seeing how the dimension developed as you added all the outlining with black and white pens. SUCC a simple detail, yet such amazing results. 💙
What a pretty, colorful and happy page, Cat! I really enjoyed your creative process. Great use of scraps! I have crps in my both hands and haven´t been able to create much, but somehow I´ve managed to accumulate a lot of scraps, lol! Tfs, hugs, Fia
Wow!! I just found my mixed media idol-you!! I subscribed last week and was so addicted with your videos!! Anything you touch becomes art!!! AMAZING!! 🙌🙌🙌 I watched almost all of your morsels especially on nights(that's the only time i have) & now, i am suffering from migraine! Lol!😂😂 But that's just fine because you're all worth it!! Now,i found ways to upcycle printer papers as my composition book of unwasted paints!! I use them for my mixed media index card!! Btw,i am on a tight budget but i still want to do these. I've seen these cheap hard plastic stencils for kids. I like them but would they work like the stencils you had?? You use this with pencil or thin markers. Would paint work with them?? They're made of hard plastic that are unbendable. Thanks & have a nice day!!! 😊😊😊😊
Thanks so much, Jennifer. Yes, I’m familiar with the harder plastic stencils. Paint will work with them, but you may need to use a stenciling brush to apply the paint through them, because they are thicker plastic. 😊 Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks, Ida. I’m not sure if HL carries the Posca pens or not. I get mine at Amazon. They are not extremely price-y like some - maybe mid range. But they are my favorite paint pens, by far. They don’t give me a lot of problems like several other types I’ve bought. They are opaque and will write over acrylic paint and everything else, too! I have several sets of colors in my Amazon store, as well as some just black and just white. If you check there, you may have to scroll down a little ways to find them all. The size I use most often is Extra Fine Point (size PC-1M). www.amazon.com/shop/cathand
Can you please talk me through your thought process on the two white leaves? I would have continued with the similar colors to the background, but I am interested why you chose two to stand out (if there was any thought process)?! Thank you so much! Very much a beginner here... 🙏💙
You really are so talented! I’m desperate to try it but i just don’t know where to start on the basic supplies. It’s just terribly expensive. I’ve purchased some cheap markers from e-bay and some very expensive acrylic paints which i’m petrified won’t have the desired effects. Including stencil, stamps, watercolour paints, soft pastels etc. Somehow i’ve managed to spend hundreds of pounds on art supplies which i don’t think are suitable for any of your mixed media projects. Can you give me advice on a beginners set up.
Thanks so much! The thing that has helped me the most is not worrying about perfection. Mixed media art is very forgiving and it’s easy to play with the supplies you already have. It’s really more about the joy of creating than about the outcome and it sounds like you have some cool stuff already in your arsenal - have a go at it! If you don’t have some of the things I’m using, substitute with what you have - you might be surprised! You can add new supplies, a little, along and along. When you’re ready, check out my Amazon store and my Etsy shop for items I use and recommend. Links to both are in the description of my videos. Above all, jump in and have FUN! 😊

Love it!!! Great job, as always. Can I get those Posca pens at Hobby Lobby? Expensive, or is there something else I could use? Thanks for your advice.

Love & Light I used them to bring more white down to the bottom of the page. It looks more balanced and causes the eye to move down the page. 😊
@@CatHand, Thank you for explaining! It makes sense. 👌💙🙏
Inspiring, as always! tfs ~BLESSINGS~
