That's what I think all these little baby spheres are. Marbles.
Many modern art marbles are 40 mm diameter, the size I target for my stone spheres.
next step what did they look like sinking in the water?
My camera can go underwater, so next time I'll get those shots too.
which one is your favorite?
It's a toss-up between the black matrix porphyry from Lisbon (Mt. Eustis Quarry), and the banded feldspar from Groton (Palermo Mine). Both are from rocks I collected myself on PGMS field trips.
