- While high up in the Rocky Mountains (12/22), I decided to record some improvisation on the harp. All I had with me was my iPhone, so that’s what I used to record these clips. I just hit the record button and cut loose with no predetermined ideas. I will likely post a few more clips. Thanks for checking it out.

Crap, I forgot to flip the video before uploading..argh!! Folks, I play harp with left hand..it's just flipped. Moving forward, the clips will be flipped to show things accurately. I've already corrected the remaining clips. Sorry 'bout that.
Whew, glad you said something - I thought it was the Tapatio having an effect on my vision.
Lovely playing, and just what I needed to hear right now. ❤️
Every note in your scales were played , and not to mention all the semitones with your slurs

Ronnie, no one needs to make anything up on the spot when you do it so well for them. You're amazing! But please don't ever turn to drink, it could be the ruin of you, so put that bottle away 🙂 All hail the king!

That lick at 1:38 - 1:51 wow! I’m going to ear that one for sure. I have some of it down but I’m going to have to slow it down & work it out.
This improv was great Ronnie. I’m going to ear train a bunch of it. Thank you!!
I’m impressed 😊😊😊
Very nice!
This is really cool Ronnie, ive been playing on my G harp alot recently I'm desperately trying to improve my tone and phrasing! Thanks for the video 🙏
Nice ✌️😎
Sehr gut, das war am 4.2.23. Blues mitten in der Nacht, gehört in Ungarn....
That's amazing ❤️ When you improvise without a backing track, do you still stick to the 12 bar progression? Or simply use the notes from a blues scale?
In this clip, yes. Most of the time that’s the case but not always. Sometimes a 1 chord groove and sometimes no form at all.
@@Harmonica123 Thanks a lot, Ronnie 👍😊
Hi Ronnie.
I'm at a stage of my learning where I can copy by ear most easy licks. If I was to break that piece down into 6 note pieces I could (poorly) copy it. My problem is I don't have improvisation in my head. How to expand on a riff to create a longer piece. Any tips on this?
One note at a time. Play it and ask yourself if you like the idea with the new note you added, keep going. Often they want to come in clusters of a few notes at time too.
bonjours Ronnie d'abord magnifique comme d'habitude c'est tous juste impressionnant bravo sur qu'el modèle d'harmonica joue tu ?? merci
this one is a Hohner Crossover but I also play Marine Band Deluxe, Special 20, Rocket, Rocket low
@@Harmonica123 moi je joue sur marine band classic comme les ancien bluesman hihi 😉😉😉😂
Brilliant? No need for a band. They would just interfere with your masterful nuance.
Yea right
He’s in Dig3
And they sound great, check out their song Christmas Coming ,it’s awesome and his harmonica is great in it
