Basic 16th note grooves for beginner drummers.
16th grooves can be played in two ways: with one hand on the hi hat, or with two hands on the hi hat.
This video covers both versions.
Typically, the one-hand version is for slower songs and the two-hand version is for faster songs.
All exercises in this video are 60 BPM.
With 16th grooves, I recommend play the hi hat quite lightly, otherwise it can sound too heavy and clunky.
