I really enjoy these lighting breakdowns. The interview scene with the bike and car look great, and honestly it's amazing to think there's 8+ lights making it work. True talent and craftsmanship!
Solid, I've been at it for more than three decades. Taking time, the chance to peek over the shoulder of another producer/shooter and listening to the midset and choices they made is always good. Thanks for sharing. Very informative. P.S. I'm an action, one man band, in the field documentary shooter. My field kit is 100% Forsa, made up of 3-60's and the 150. Most of the work I do is fast, without power. So, being able to set lights and DC power them no matter where I'm at is priceless. The 300 and 500 are on my list in the next couple of weeks.
Bro appreciate the input and YES! The 60's are amazing to power off NPF or Vmounts. I tend to rock a bunch of those too on shoots where I need to be nimble and move lighting around a ton
Hey Jay. Just wanna thank you for this behind the scenes walkthrough. This is as good as paid course (if not better) and I appreciate you make it available for free. Loving the interview setup. You killed it! Keep it up man!
This literally put a smile on my face bro! I love sharing things I've learned over the years with others and glad you found the value in this! If you ever have questions shoot me a DM on IG @im_jasonanthony always down to chat
HAHAH bro the space looked big but she HAD to have both vehicles in frame and if the car was backed up more the garage had to be open. Not ideal but better then her looking like a chicken skewer
As always bro, dope informative content for us creators. Love that lighting setup at the end and how all of them came together! Can’t wait to see more!
Great to see real life application rather than just tech specs, thanks for the great BTS. Love Nanlite, I guess the key question for me is around fan noise from so many big lights and controllers in an enclosed area with plenty of reflective surfaces. Was there any impact on audio that you had to deal with in post I wonder? Maybe they were all sufficiently far away not to impact on sound? Thanks a million for the inspiring content, deserves way more likes 👍
Very nicely done! How many lights total did you use 8? Also what were you camera settings, it seem like you might have been at f/2.8-4 What camera & lens were you using? ( FX or Crop) Also do you have a link to the finishing product?? Thanks for sharing
what courses did you take on color grading? I was trying to find some that break down why you want to change setting and why we change them, rather that the youtube general videos on move this here move that there and "crush the blacks".
@jvke has a new colorist course and its great! He teaches on here to Jake Pierrelee. I've taken Qazi,s course, Filippo Conte's course, Sam Kolders and some senior colorists from Company 3 on the site lowepost.

Really appreciate your kind worst bro! I was just trying to get some great color contrast while bringing up the ambient levels of the room!
