- Equipped with my Ricoh GR iii and Sony a7s iii, I went out at 4am to do street photography on the rainy streets of Seoul, South Korea. This was my favorite street photography vlog that I've recorded to date, hope you guys enjoyed it as well.

This is so great. I don't have the opportunity to be able to shoot in major cities, but it's inspiring for someone like me to plan out trips and experience the world outside of my home. Looks like you found ‘gold’ on those streets with the amazing conditions. I regularly go out early in the morning before I head to work for street photography. Definitely a different vibe.

Yeah Sony's awesome, can always rely on it. Even tho the a7s3 is only 12mp for photos so that's partly why I've been using it less for photography recently, kinda miss my a7iii.

A bit of a stupid question, but obviously you never use manual focus, do you? It amazes me how fast your camera can focus in such low light.
Yeah the Sony coupled with the 55 is one of the best autofocuses out there. Wasn't necessary to use mf on this shoot. On the Ricoh, I honestly have no idea how to even use mf (should probably google that), it's not as fast but I just adapt to the style.

I also want to visit Seoul. I think it's one of the most photogenic cities in the world.
For gritty rain photography, definitely. Right after Tokyo and New York.

I shoot on and off. When I'm actively shooting, like 4-6 times a week. When I'm taking a break, more like twice a month.
what do you do for a living?
curious how often you are being stopped and be requested to delete your photos? I read that it is illegal to do street photography in Seoul and am curious how much of this law is enforced and how likely will we be in trouble if we do street photography/reportage/documentary photography in Seoul? or is it fine so long as people are not recognizable in the photos unless given permission?

Do you have a Ricoh gr III settings guide/video? Struggling to get used to the GR
No, but basically I shoot it at shutter priority, auto iso max 4k, always f2.8 at night. It can handle quite slow handheld speeds. Check Samuel L Streetlife's channel he has a settings guide if I recall correctly.

Digital photographer takes a thousand shots ends up with 5, my film camera takes 5 shots saves film ends up with 5
