  • On the first day we started outside of the Guadalupe Mountains Nation Park around noon. We rode 54 miles to Dell City where we topped off our tanks and our stomachs before we started. The whole way along the ridge probably 40 miles of freshly graded larger loose rock. Also the only time my Dad went down on one of his brand new Tusk Panniers. Made him mad enough he kept from going down anymore the whole trip. Let’s just say I made up for it in the later sand section. We road all the way to Weed. A total of 210 miles. Grabbed some stuff for breakfast, the next day, at the Weed Gas station. We camped at the community center in town.

Pete Peach Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video. I enjoy watching other people’s videos, riding, and filming. So it’s a plus that people enjoy watching my videos. It was an amazing trip. We will be doing Big Bend in a few weeks, and the COBDR in July.

Oh man, I've found myself a new video series to chew through while I'm working. I've been wanting to do the NMBDR since Sandia BMW hosted that little video event for it a few years back.

Great video. Cant wait to watch the rest tomorrow. I live in Roswell and was planning on doing the BDR this July but my buddy who was going with me blew up the motor on his bike. Maybe next year. How many days for the entire trip and what month did you go? How was your weather?

DevildogDenver83 Glad you are enjoying the videos. We started the last couple of days of May took us 7 days but the 1st and last day were half days. The weather couldn't have been better. Hate to hear about the motor that's never good. Hope your able to go this year we had a amazing time. It is a great ride for sure.

my grandparents had a cabin on the other side of the hill from Weed. If you look down the one road in weed with the Post office on your right, the hill straight ahead (at the intersection), I went there every summer from the mid 80's to early 90's Ive eaten in that Post office numerous times.

That’s awesome. We camped at the Community Center behind the Baptist Church right across from the Post office. Came in kinda late and left pretty early didn’t eat in town but the few people we talked to were supper nice. It’s a pretty neat little area.

Finally a video series that shows the whole route, thanks! My wife and I want to do this but weren’t quite sure how many days to allot for getting it done. Did you ride to the put it at Dell? If so, how far was your ride to get to the start?

We road about 30miles or so. Me and my dad ride so my mother and daughter site see through out the state wile we ride and pick us up close to the end. If your looking for somewhere to park “Two wheel Texan” and Adventure Rider have some good forums for the BDR’s that could help with where to park a truck and trailer for the duration of a ride.

This one is a great ride. Probably my favorite so far that I’ve done. Definitely have a Spot or InReach there is very little service anywhere.

The music is so repetitive becomes annoying pretty quick.

Hi there I agree but it’s pretty hard to find music RUclips will let you use without pulling videos down. I hope you can enjoy them muted. Lol
