The Eastern Roman Empire was the last "successor" kingdom, rewriting its dna to accommodate this.

Rome is a Republic in this period. The Roman Empire is not formed until the wars that followed Julius Caesar and then Augustus, is misleading to mention the Empire in this time period, the only one that could be position in the Empire timeline could be the fall of Ptolemaic Egypt but even then the Empire was not entirely established.

Mode H you can call the Roman republic an empire because it fits the definition. Same with the Seleucids who were never called an empire until Scholars deemed them so due to their invasions of Greece, India, Parthia, and Bactria primarily under Seleucus and Antiochus III.

Thank you for this video! This is a very fascinating time period that few people know about. There were Greek/Macedonian colonies from Turkey all the way to Afghanistan? Who would of thought.

We are the descendants of the Seleucid Dynasty. We have a Seleucid flag and our Y-DNA is European. Our ancestors lived in Seleucia and Baghdad, Iraq.

For anyone interested in a more detailed examination of the diadochi and what happened to alexanders body i highly recommend you listen to dan calrings ''the macedonias soap opera'' which covers some of the less known facts of the period.

Nothing about the culture there no art or philosophy, just wars. No mention of the huge advances in Mathematics, Astronomy, Engineering. You are missing the whole point of that era :)
