Badi came to fight Rudy (if I remember correctly) only cuz he wanted to test Rudeus since Kishirika compared his mana capacity with Laplace and Badi fought against Laplace in war so naturally he wanted to see if Rudy is all talk or not. He was also a bit jealous of Rudy how much Kishirika praised him. Tho I will have to chech to confirm.

Elinalise’s curse isn’t as you think. She simply has to have intercourse with someone every so often or she will wither and die. I don’t think it’s every night. She has an absurdly high sex drive so she simply chooses to have sex whenever she can. She could have a single relationship but because she’s an adventurer, she travels a lot so when her curse hits and she’s traveling meaning she has to make time to have sex with someone. which that obviously puts a strain on having one partner lol. Badigadi. This isn't just some strong demon who shows up o e day, this is inmortal demon king Badigadi. Remember the place wher Rudeus and Eris where teleported? That arid wasteland full of monsters and that Citty in the midle of a crater? Thats his Territory. He came all the way from the demon continent calling favors to cross the sea just to meet that boy his fiance Kishirika was talking about. He has multiple entries in the history books, he is a really powerful warrior and was a mostly succesful general in the second human demon war but tooke a neutral stance in the Laplace war. When he foud where Rudeus was he ran trough forest mountains allmost witout rest for weeks, causing a panic as he passes trough, armies where gathered to fight him. Tribute was prepared for him but as soon as the news about him arrived he was allready gone. The hole citty was in panic, there where Knights, battle mages and S rank adventurers getting ready for a fight. He caused a multinational incident just by showing up on a Whim. And trust me, if he had decided to fight, thers nothing the hole kingdom cud have done to stop him. This is the guy who randomly showed up at School, this is the guy Rudeus blow up and stand up a few seconds later as if it was nothing.
I'm happy for Cliff and Elinalise, but it's always weird to me that the general reaction to Eris and Rudeus sleeping together last season was great discomfort (which is pretty understandable, I believe the viewer is supposed to feel like they probably shouldn't jump into that at that point in the story), but the general reaction for these two getting together is "good for them" with just some scepticism about whether she'll actually be faithful when Cliff is only 1 year older than Eris was at the time, and Elinalise is at least old enough to have been partied with Paul and Zenith, and likely much older considering she's an elf. I would say it was because of Rudeus' perverted and gropey tendencies, but we've already seen that Elinalise does very much the same things (like when she was feeling up that one student a few episodes back). And it wasn't like Rudy was grooming Eris like he had thought to do with Sylphie way early on. Both Eris and Cliff were the ones pursuing the relationship, and Rudy also has the dilemma of never being able to match the age of his partner in one way or another.

They are not offended by him toughing them but use it as an excise to annoy one another, as well as playfully shame/strike him despite him being stronger than them. Plus it is clearly done for comedy or isn't serious as the marks/scratches disappear the next scene.

Okay... first of all, Badigadi didn't come to try to get a cat girl and a dog girl. He doesn't care about them. He came to look at Rudy. Why? Because Kirishika compared him to Laplace. And they both Badigadi and Kirishika saw the living Laplace, so for her to make such a comparison is high praise. Badigadi just wanted to see a human equal to Laplace. Nothing else. And he decided to stay at the school...because when you're an immortal demon lord who has lived for thousands of years, it's just another fun for you. He's a strange guy...but very kind for a demon lord. As for Cliff and Elinalise...oh gods what a couple. Firstly... Elinalise doesn't need a different man every time, it can be the same one... he just needs to be able to... meet her demands. And Cliff believes he can do it. In addition, he is a talented magician, if anyone can remove the curse from her, then this is him. And he was very passionate and sincere in his confession, so Elinalise thought "what the hell... let's try make it work." Most men have always been very casual with her, but Cliff, on the contrary, is very serious. He really wants to help her. That's why she was moved by it.

They skipped two lines of important dialogue so I'll just paraphrase it here. (After Rudy mentions his encounter with Orsted) Badigadi: Did you deal any damage to Orsted? Rudy: I was only able to scratch a bit of skin (Scene continues to Badigadi changing the duel) I have no idea why they skipped this. It's literally 2 sentences and it gives context as to why Badigadi changed the duel into him enduring Rudy's attack. It also gives a peak into the relationship Badigadi has with Orsted and emphasizes how impressive that feat was.

In Old and Middle English, ðey were not differentiated phonologically but ðat changed in ðe last 200-300 years. Ðð became voiced dental fricative, and Þþ became unvoiced dental fricative. Boþ, of course, have been orþographically simplified to "th" in standard modern English. Ðe reason I do it is because I like and prefer to revive ðose letters, and þink ðat English should have an Alphabet Reform to begin wið. Where do ðese "Many people" come from? Again the beast girls are just a bit weird. We see the "Dominance theory" stuff that beast people ascribe to on display in this episode. If you want a mate you need to beat them or the alpha of their pack in a fight. Rudeus beat them so he's technically their boss and gets to do what he wants. They've already said "fooling around is okay, but nothing that could make babies unless you're willing to court and marry properly". It's less that they disapprove of being fooled around with, and more that it's public, they have *very* minor conditions, like Pursena demanding meat in exchange (she's extremely food motivated). That is how they, and their culture views this sort of thing. Elinalise has traditionally shot for many different partners because well, she likes variety. It's also just very hard for one partner to keep up with her. She has a curse, but she's also just a pervert. She does have some rules though, she tends to avoid being a homewrecker and won't knowingly sleep with married men, she also tends not to sleep with party members unless it's a desperate situation. She refused to sleep with Paul for undisclosed reasons.
The light novels shed some light on both your questions. Elinalise's curse does not mean she has to sleep with a different man every night. In fact she can go several days without sex--she just doesn't want to if she can help it. Also, it can be the same man as long as he can keep up with her impossibly strong libido. BUT, Elinalise had had men she loved in the past leave her because of her curse. She's been burned, and she's learned how to avoid commitments by making sure she only sleeps with men who don't have any other women their supposed to be faithful to and who only want a one-night stand. Badigadi (and that girl too) were only there to challenge Rudy to a duel for their own reasons (nothing to do with the beastmen mating rituals). Badi's reason is that he's heard his fiance, the immortal demon empress Kishirika Kishirisu, praise Rudys mana pool to the sky and frankly, he's a bit jealous. I won't get into the girl's motivations since, considering how the anime framed her, they will probably show this day from her point of view in a later episode or OAV.
She doesn't have to sleep with others. The reason why she said that is because nobody can keep up with her because of the curse. Cliff has a lot of work ahead for himself if he wants to make that relationship work.
Ok here is the Elinalise course and I will try to make it as spoiler free as possible. But if you see the word SPOILER X jump to the next SPOILER X END. As you know she is very old ( No spoiler here as she is an ELF) . When she was young she tried to get more power and mess up, causing a constant accumulation of power. SPOILER 1 By having sex and converting the man juice into magic stones that she expels like a her period. In that way her body uses all that accumulated mana/power. So depending on things she may have to do the deed every day, many times per day or skip a day depending on how much juice she gets for her body to make magical stones. This stones are very valuable that is why she is supper rich. SPOILER 1 End That was tough, no easy way to say it. So if Cliff can do his part in quantity it she can hold out longer, if he can’t she has to go on the side. Regarding pregnancy…. SPOILER 2 She can get pregnant if not carful and even though it’s very difficult for Elves to get pregnant specially with non elves. She has many times in the past. That helps her situation during the pregnancy however she pays an emotional tragic cost to her feelings when she can’t stay with them for long due to her curse. Sad… SPOILER 2 end. I can go in more detail but that will be a huge spoiler…. As far as the beast girls. Like they said, they go in heat every so often and her “boss” has to fight the males, if not they have to do it themselves or end up (even by force) with the male that can subjugates them. That is why they lock themselves in their room. It’s an animal like social behavior. They are not human.

during that meeting with Orsted, in the novel they describe Rudeus's attack as a nuclear bomb attempt, what he did was use wind magic to put more oxygen into the fire and make it hotter. In the novel, it says that if Orsted didn't stop that spell, everyone was going to die, including Rudeus himself.

Spoil!!! . . . . . . . . . . the girl with blue hair following Rudeus was actually Eris' self proclaimed rival in swordmanship, her name is Nina Farion and she came to Rudeus to stalk him and suppose to challenge him to a duel to see if he's stronger because she heard it from Eris and tries to steal him from her but got scared of how powerful Rudeus was against Badigadi so she wouldn't show up( Sylphy did mentioned that there was only 1 girl of those challengers and that is her). Sorry for spoiling but I think I have to cuz Nina definitely will appear in Eris OVA in the future just like Cliff so I think people who watch anime only will not remember her that had appeared in this ep.
Elinalise and her Curse. She needs to sleep with a man every few days and the need gets stronger the longer she goes without it. She will get pail and sick and eventually die if she dosn't. Her sexual drive is allso higher than normal, but dosn't men it has to be diferent guys. But lets think about it. What if his partner has to go out of town for a few months? What woud the people said about her parthner? About their children? This is why she don't want anyone to get serious about her This is not a wild guess, this Comes from her experience, Painfull experience. She may not look like it but she is a Romantic at hearth, and when Cliff said he wanted to be with her in spite of her curse and bow to find a way to break it on the spot she trew herself into his arms. She wanted to belive in him, he wanted to try to be with Clif even if its a fleating dream and not meant to be, even if he is not able to break the curse she wants to belive in Clif.
The anime said her curse means she has to have sex regularly, meaning it has to be often enough that its common for her to be having frequent sex, or else she'll die. To me, that always sounded like some perv cursed her to need sex to live. Who knows if that's what happened. The whole bit about multiple partners is just the assumption many came up with. Imo needing to have sex regularly means also needing a monogamous partner who can keep up, and if he can't then that's a life threatening issue for her. Cliff is a young teenage boy, I'm sure he's the closest she's gotten to a partner who can match her. As for Badigadi, all we got was that he came over to meet Rudy after his fiancé praised Rudy so highly. I really want to know more about Laplace. SPOILERS POTENTIALLY!!! I dont know if the show will take the time to fully flesh out elinalise and her curse so ill leave an explainer here for those interested. During episode 5 of this season, Fitz (Sylph) suggests reading "Animis' Exploring the Teleporting Labyrinth" book to start his research into the mass teleportation calamity. This labyrinth or "dungeon" is actually were elinalise was found. It is unknown how she ending up there but a group of adventurers found her inside the core of the dungeon. They discovered she had completely lost her memory so she actually has no idea how old she is. Something happened and she was seperated from this group (i cant remember what as its been years since ive read the LNs) and was taken prisoner by a group of bandits and they did... things ... to her. Then she was rescued by another group of adventurers and fell in love with someone from this group. I believe this is where she made up the identify of Elinalise Dragonroad. They settled down and had a kid but the curse is gonna curse so they seperate and she hits the road and becomes an adventurer. About the curse, this is a side affect of being inside the dungeon core, it gave her a strange, unexplainable power. It drives her to sleep with men (also the trauma from the bandits) and turns their... "stuff".... into diamonds inside her womb. She will sell off these diamonds and that's why she's actually insanely rich and not from being a S rank adventurer. The curse makes it virtually impossible for her partner to physically keep up with its demand and thats why she usually doesnt stay in a relationship (that and the trauma from how her last relationships went).
Elinalise wasen't in that dungeon, she was in a similar situation but in another dungeon. We can confirm that because the Teleporting Labyrinth was never completed
Fun Fact: a while ago someone went online and said they knew the identity of the author of Mushoku Tensei, and that the author is actually a psychologist, despite not having proof of being true, the fandom believes that it is a real possibility, because it makes sense once you notice how the characters are written around personality complexes and traumas. (basically most mushoku characters have some kind of trauma). Elinalise could easily be a reference to a woman who has hypersexuality, as someone who is affected by the condition of nymphomaniac (not just horny). and that she had problems establishing a serious relationship because of the condition

Honestly each episode that comes out is more and more disappointing coming from a light novel reader. They are cutting out so much important content that gives much need context and backstory to a lot of these scenes. They do show a lot of subtle stuff in the anime that youll really only understand if youve read the source material but I can't imagine most anime only viewers would pick up on it.

Plus it is clearly done for comedy or isn't serious as the marks/scratches disappear the next scene.

Okay... first of all, Badigadi didn't come to try to get a cat girl and a dog girl. He doesn't care about them. He came to look at Rudy. Why? Because Kirishika compared him to Laplace. And they both Badigadi and Kirishika saw the living Laplace, so for her to make such a comparison is high praise. Badigadi just wanted to see a human equal to Laplace. Nothing else. And he decided to stay at the school...because when you're an immortal demon lord who has lived for thousands of years, it's just another fun for you. He's a strange guy...but very kind for a demon lord.
As for Cliff and Elinalise...oh gods what a couple. Firstly... Elinalise doesn't need a different man every time, it can be the same one... he just needs to be able to... meet her demands. And Cliff believes he can do it. In addition, he is a talented magician, if anyone can remove the curse from her, then this is him. And he was very passionate and sincere in his confession, so Elinalise thought "what the hell... let's try make it work." Most men have always been very casual with her, but Cliff, on the contrary, is very serious. He really wants to help her. That's why she was moved by it.

I have no idea why they skipped this. It's literally 2 sentences and it gives context as to why Badigadi changed the duel into him enduring Rudy's attack. It also gives a peak into the relationship Badigadi has with Orsted and emphasizes how impressive that feat was.
I assume ðe mere fact ðat he survived an encounter wið Orsted is what ðe director wants us to þink is ðe reason Badigadi changed ðe rules.

@@A._Meroy It is not difficult to write at all. All you need to do is download Alt-Latin Keyboard and you'll have a lot of options for letters and diacritics.
Ðð and Þþ make different sounds. In Old and Middle English, ðey were not differentiated phonologically but ðat changed in ðe last 200-300 years. Ðð became voiced dental fricative, and Þþ became unvoiced dental fricative. Boþ, of course, have been orþographically simplified to "th" in standard modern English. Ðe reason I do it is because I like and prefer to revive ðose letters, and þink ðat English should have an Alphabet Reform to begin wið.
Where do ðese "Many people" come from? From my knowledge, I only know 1 or 2 oðer people who use ðem. Ðat's not many, ðat's a few. And ðey're not even in ðe same fields of interests as me.

Again the beast girls are just a bit weird. We see the "Dominance theory" stuff that beast people ascribe to on display in this episode. If you want a mate you need to beat them or the alpha of their pack in a fight. Rudeus beat them so he's technically their boss and gets to do what he wants. They've already said "fooling around is okay, but nothing that could make babies unless you're willing to court and marry properly". It's less that they disapprove of being fooled around with, and more that it's public, they have *very* minor conditions, like Pursena demanding meat in exchange (she's extremely food motivated). That is how they, and their culture views this sort of thing.
Elinalise has traditionally shot for many different partners because well, she likes variety. It's also just very hard for one partner to keep up with her. She has a curse, but she's also just a pervert. She does have some rules though, she tends to avoid being a homewrecker and won't knowingly sleep with married men, she also tends not to sleep with party members unless it's a desperate situation. She refused to sleep with Paul for undisclosed reasons.

The light novels shed some light on both your questions. Elinalise's curse does not mean she has to sleep with a different man every night. In fact she can go several days without sex--she just doesn't want to if she can help it. Also, it can be the same man as long as he can keep up with her impossibly strong libido. BUT, Elinalise had had men she loved in the past leave her because of her curse. She's been burned, and she's learned how to avoid commitments by making sure she only sleeps with men who don't have any other women their supposed to be faithful to and who only want a one-night stand.
Badigadi (and that girl too) were only there to challenge Rudy to a duel for their own reasons (nothing to do with the beastmen mating rituals). Badi's reason is that he's heard his fiance, the immortal demon empress Kishirika Kishirisu, praise Rudys mana pool to the sky and frankly, he's a bit jealous. I won't get into the girl's motivations since, considering how the anime framed her, they will probably show this day from her point of view in a later episode or OAV.
She doesn't have to sleep with others. The reason why she said that is because nobody can keep up with her because of the curse. Cliff has a lot of work ahead for himself if he wants to make that relationship work.

As you know she is very old ( No spoiler here as she is an ELF) . When she was young she tried to get more power and mess up, causing a constant accumulation of power.

So depending on things she may have to do the deed every day, many times per day or skip a day depending on how much juice she gets for her body to make magical stones. This stones are very valuable that is why she is supper rich.

Like they said, they go in heat every so often and her “boss” has to fight the males, if not they have to do it themselves or end up (even by force) with the male that can subjugates them. That is why they lock themselves in their room. It’s an animal like social behavior. They are not human.

during that meeting with Orsted, in the novel they describe Rudeus's attack as a nuclear bomb attempt, what he did was use wind magic to put more oxygen into the fire and make it hotter.
In the novel, it says that if Orsted didn't stop that spell, everyone was going to die, including Rudeus himself.

the girl with blue hair following Rudeus was actually Eris' self proclaimed rival in swordmanship, her name is Nina Farion and she came to Rudeus to stalk him and suppose to challenge him to a duel to see if he's stronger because she heard it from Eris and tries to steal him from her but got scared of how powerful Rudeus was against Badigadi so she wouldn't show up( Sylphy did mentioned that there was only 1 girl of those challengers and that is her). This is not a wild guess, this Comes from her experience, Painfull experience.
She may not look like it but she is a Romantic at hearth, and when Cliff said he wanted to be with her in spite of her curse and bow to find a way to break it on the spot she trew herself into his arms.
She wanted to belive in him, he wanted to try to be with Clif even if its a fleating dream and not meant to be, even if he is not able to break the curse she wants to belive in Clif.
The anime said her curse means she has to have sex regularly, meaning it has to be often enough that its common for her to be having frequent sex, or else she'll die. To me, that always sounded like some perv cursed her to need sex to live. Who knows if that's what happened. The whole bit about multiple partners is just the assumption many came up with. Imo needing to have sex regularly means also needing a monogamous partner who can keep up, and if he can't then that's a life threatening issue for her. Cliff is a young teenage boy, I'm sure he's the closest she's gotten to a partner who can match her.
As for Badigadi, all we got was that he came over to meet Rudy after his fiancé praised Rudy so highly. I really want to know more about Laplace. He's such an grand figure in this world and Rudy keeps getting compared to him in some shape or form.

I dont know if the show will take the time to fully flesh out elinalise and her curse so ill leave an explainer here for those interested.
During episode 5 of this season, Fitz (Sylph) suggests reading "Animis' Exploring the Teleporting Labyrinth" book to start his research into the mass teleportation calamity. This labyrinth or "dungeon" is actually were elinalise was found. It is unknown how she ending up there but a group of adventurers found her inside the core of the dungeon. They discovered she had completely lost her memory so she actually has no idea how old she is. Something happened and she was seperated from this group (i cant remember what as its been years since ive read the LNs) and was taken prisoner by a group of bandits and they did... things ... to her. Then she was rescued by another group of adventurers and fell in love with someone from this group. I believe this is where she made up the identify of Elinalise Dragonroad. They settled down and had a kid but the curse is gonna curse so they seperate and she hits the road and becomes an adventurer.
About the curse, this is a side affect of being inside the dungeon core, it gave her a strange, unexplainable power. It drives her to sleep with men (also the trauma from the bandits) and turns their... "stuff".... into diamonds inside her womb. She will sell off these diamonds and that's why she's actually insanely rich and not from being a S rank adventurer. The curse makes it virtually impossible for her partner to physically keep up with its demand and thats why she usually doesnt stay in a relationship (that and the trauma from how her last relationships went).
Elinalise wasen't in that dungeon, she was in a similar situation but in another dungeon. We can confirm that because the Teleporting Labyrinth was never completed
Fun Fact:
a while ago someone went online and said they knew the identity of the author of Mushoku Tensei, and that the author is actually a psychologist, despite not having proof of being true, the fandom believes that it is a real possibility, because it makes sense once you notice how the characters are written around personality complexes and traumas. (basically most mushoku characters have some kind of trauma).
Elinalise could easily be a reference to a woman who has hypersexuality, as someone who is affected by the condition of nymphomaniac (not just horny). and that she had problems establishing a serious relationship because of the condition

Honestly each episode that comes out is more and more disappointing coming from a light novel reader. They are cutting out so much important content that gives much need context and backstory to a lot of these scenes. They do show a lot of subtle stuff in the anime that youll really only understand if youve read the source material but I can't imagine most anime only viewers would pick up on it.
