I listen to all different genres of music, literally from the 1920s to now. This it's one of my favorite songs still to this day for so many reasons. I can tell you right now that your ears have just been blessed. I'm a former singer and there's reasons why he brought in the choir as a background when it comes to his composition. First off he wanted to juxtapose the violence with something so beautiful. He wants you to hear the violence with the imagery of the versus of the lyrics. But he wants to counterbalance that put something absolutely angelic. And your mind goes to the risks of what will happen on the other song continues on this path. The flip side of this is that you will hear a choir singing at their funeral. Do you understand how this is TWO sides of the SAME coin? This is just one example of why this is such an amazing song. This song actually makes me cry still to this day and people don't understand how it is. I can't even say how many times it's amazing. I want to say THIS is amazing a million but the word amazing doesn't do it justice. The way that he does his lyrics and comes down on the LAST DOWN BEAT... it's almost on a 1/2 beat behind at the closing off for each line. Listen to it again.... You hear it clearly when he says the world FOOL! That's because with that break it actually lasts a little bit longer about 2 seconds longer than the other ones do. I have been a long time Coolio fan and yes he's been my secret boyfriend in my brain for a long time too but that is neither here nor there sweetheart. People for some reason many ways I feel underrated his music he seem to fail off after this with a couple more hours Go off into his own direction. Those of us who loved him stuck around, the others just took off and you don't see them decades later. They kind of knew about him beforehand, but then they became real fans when this movie came out. Honestly, I never saw the movie... I don't even want to. I don't want to ruin what his music is to me by watching it used in this movie. So yeah for as long as this movie's been out I've never actually watched it. The clips that you see here of this movie is exactly ALL of what I've seen of it. I understand the premise because I understand what was going on at the time cuz I lived through it. I'm probably one of your oldest people here because I actually came from the LFR FAMILY page. #NYGenXBIKERLady

Thanks for making this video about "GANGSTA'S PARADISE" by Coolio! Well done! R.I.P. COOLIO ! I still from time to time groove to "GANGSTA'S PARADISE ". This song I sang a lot back in 1995 because I was a 24 yr. old junkie and Crackhead.. So, Coolio's lyrics, especially the 1st line resonated with me,"As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I take a look at my life and realize there's nothing left...." Addiction made me a slave and I lost everything!Including, my son (5 yrs old at the time) and my daughter (3 yrs old at the time). "Death ain't nothin' but a heartbeat away..." "I'm 23 now but will I live to see 24. The way things are goin' I don't know.." "If THEY can't understand, how can THEY reach me..." POWERFUL LYRICS! I THANK COOLIO FOR THIS GIFT!This song has a very sentimental value to me. I have been in recovery from Crack and heroin since 2004;alcohol since 2011. I SHOULD'VE BEEN DEAD YEEEARS AGO! GOD was definitely watching over me! Now,my mission is to help those strugglin' with addiction/ alcoholism. May Coolio have a FANTASTIC VOYAGE TO THE GANGSTA'S PARADISE IN HEAVEN. SHAKA ZULU! ✌😥

The song, Gangsta’s Paradise, would also make some people think of airplanes taking off, flying in the stratosphere, and landing when listening to it. It is also a very epic song to listen to while going plane spotting and flying on airplanes when air traveling. That song is very epic to play while seeing amazing night views of city lights and the views of the stratosphere seeing the stars and moon in the sky when flying on planes. It’s very nice during night and evening flights when that song plays to airplanes as they takeoff and land while flying over beautiful cities. So nice when cities have airports when people see airplanes fly over the lovely buildings of cities. It’s so cool. The choirs of that song make it so special for airplanes flying at night and evening while seeing lots of lovely views in the stratosphere and troposphere and moon & stars while flying high in the sky, and the city lights from the ground when taking off and landing.

My middle of my 3 amazing daughters has Asthma and their mom and I are divorced so I’m always worrying about my middle angel when she’s at her moms. It really scares her and terrifies me when she’s had an attack and I don’t think most people know what it’s like to not be able to breathe or see your child in that state. Happy for ya it’s going better!
