- Chinese Suzhou Pingtan Collection - Opera and Story-Telling art form popular in the Suzhou region of China. "宝玉夜探" 为评弹名家蒋月泉所创“蒋调”的代表作之一。“俞调”、“丽调”、“尤调”等也有演唱，亦有用“蒋调”与“俞调”，“丽调”与“俞调”、“尤调”对唱的。此曲最早由蒋月泉，朱慧珍合作首唱，曾风靡江浙沪。

《宝玉夜探》 was the first 蒋曲 I learned to play and sing. I was courageous enough to sing this with my neighbors OUTDOOR in the hot summer days in Shanghai because I was only 13-14. That was more, much more, than half of a century ago. I still remember most of the lines. I wish you can hear me singing right now along with these masters. I have lived in foreign countries for more, much more, than half of a century. To be very honest, 评弹 is one of those things that I miss about China most. 啊(-口)拉是上海人.

Most Chinese speakers have to read subtitles too. It’s in the dialect of Zhejiang province specifically Suzhou.

唱姊妺的語言不能听,不甚妥当,应該唱姊妺的言語不能听才是
没有错，是叫开门的丫鬟，对下人的尊称，“大姐”的意思
蒋月泉，唱的是“姊妺的語言不能听”，杨振言，唱的是“姊妺的言語不能听”。评弹的唱词经常有小变动。同一人的作品，不同时期的腔调、唱词也有变化。
