Lindsey been argumentative, not assertive, but aggressive, and a nightmare as a girlfriend from the beginning of this show! Every guy she ever had on the show that was supposed to be her boyfriend she was a complete crazy person to! it’s no surprise. She has no idea how to be in a relationship at all. Any guy that gets involved with her is asking for punishment. I’m just glad he’s out while he could same thing with all those other guys that she was on the show.

Here for Steel’s rant (actually always here but appreciated Steel’s rant) So being in the shoes of a sibling who has a drug problem who has “gotten sober” I do understand the PTSD comment when dealing with relapses. I put gotten sober in quotes because my sibling never truly got sober. With that being said I would NEVER question if he was sober or doing drugs even all the times he did release because I did not want to push him to do so. I use to be a Lindsey fan but this season has done me in. Love you guys. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to say something - Lindsay is all about her PR. She is concerned about how her drinking is going to come across and so she does her PR spin on the entire situation. She has done it to every single person she has ‘dated’ on this show. Remember the sandwiches? Remember telling the world that she miscarried a child before even telling the father?? The line Carl said in the trailer of her playing that she was blindsided for her to only say the exact words right after - that’s it exactly. This is the Lindsay game - same game play- PR and gaslight… Carl has a lot of credit coming to him given how calm and silent he has been in public this whole time - now she needs to get the hell out of that damn apartment and stop making him pay for it- she bought a home, so GET OUT! Thank you Steel! And thank you Scooter for supporting Steel! This episode really gutted me and made me think I would not be able to keep watching due to triggering me but I’m with Steel and I’m with the Carl- will watch it thru…

Unless we have been in that situation, like urself, I feel the only position for us to take is listening with an open mind and heart. Lindsay is a horrible person. My guess is Carl was starting to regret proposing before cameras went up and she decided to throw him under the bus by accusing him of doing drugs to thwart the reason he broke up with her was because of her. She's bad.

Those who watched summer house from day 1 know Lindsey in how she treats her boyfriends and friends. She’s a little terror when she doesn’t get her way.

Lindsay’s defensiveness about drinking speaks volumes. I remember getting annoyed at ppl when they tried to call out my drunkness (in like college) but I only ever got defensive when I knew they were right. I was also an angry drunk person and eventually I had to stop bc that next morning guilt wondering if I yelled at someone the night before wasn’t worth it. I’m 32 now and I’m pro weed but I still will only have a little alcohol on occasion. Maybe it’s time for Lindsay to have a serious reflection and determine if she needs to adjust how she drinks. Being a someone sober will def shine a spotlight on your drunk behavior especially when it’s toxic. I hope she’s using this season to reflect. 🤞🏾😬😬
As twisted as this sounds, I think Lindsay expected everyone to feel sorry for her having to deal with Carl’s possible relapse. She knew it wasn’t true but she thought it would make her the centre of attention. She is the centre but not the way she hoped. As the parent of an addict I was disgusted by her
I completely agree with the closing thought that Lindsay wanted the relationship to look a certain way (having total control over Carol). She was lashing out once he stopped falling on the sword in Kyle’s phrase. Interesting point that they were great when she was sober!

First time catching your show. Thank you for such a thoughtful breakdown of this toxic behaviour and the destructive impact on a person’s sobriety. Lindsay is a threat to Carl’s sobriety and could have driven him to relapse. It was horrible to watch her manipulate behaviour and it stands as a warning to anyone trying to live a sober life to stay away from such narcissistic people who never take accountability for themselves and blame others for their chaos. Lindsay is a master manipulator and Carl made the right decision.
New subscriber. Really enjoy your take on the Bravo shows and especially on this situation with Lindsay. I hate the term “gaslighting” but Lindsay truly does gaslight everyone. She’s done it with nearly everyone every season of SH. The first time she made the false accusations about Carl’s sobriety were unforgivable and he should have ended the engagement that night. She’s an awful person and I’m glad for Carl that he ended the engagement and the relationship. I think Lindsay was a threat to Carl’s health and sobriety. If she’s like that on camera imagine her behavior behind closed doors.

My comments are not showing on correct episode because I’m not seeing it here yet. 1-I really wanted to have a drinking game for every time Steele says ‘regardless’ 😂 but we would die 😂 I say this with pure humor. 2- Kyle and Amanda. My perspective.. you can’t Change a person. They knew who they were marrying . They knew each others flaws/triggers. It comes down to deciding on whether or not they can accept the flaws or are the flaws going to end them. I see both their sides. They are both valid. Neither of them have changed who they are. The more they are both harped on for their flaws the more they feel worse about themselves, but they don’t change themselves. So I feel like they need to decide are these flaws a game changer or can they accept their spouses for who they are and try to come up with acceptable boundaries. My husband and I are coming up on 25yrs.. are we perfect? No. Are there things that we do that creates hurt? Probably. Have we decided to end our marriage? No. Are we strong and fight passionately for us, yes. Can anyone come btn us? Fuck no.
Lindsay wants Carl to fail in his sobriety journey so that she can maintain control of him. She doesn't want a husband she wants a hostage. Malignant narc. Carl having to continue to pay half of the apartment rent is a small price to pay for his freedom.

Don't let Old Scratch/Mr. Slick remind you of where you've been or what you've done. Let the sobriety angels remind you of where you are and guide you to the good place you're heading to. I really am wondering if Carl just pokes and pokes and provokes her in his own subtle way. I am still waiting to see, I do agree that it isn’t a good look for Lindsey, at all. It seems like she is accusing him to hurt him, and it’s wrong! I just wonder what Carl’s responsible for, at times you can see his tone and judgement of her. It’s seems to be driving her to lash out.

I'm not being sold on Lindsey being a " bride to be" in the next few months as I'm watching this show. She's coming off as dumpy, frumpy - the stuff she is wearing, even how she carries herself. She has her extension clips just showing for the world to see in last episode - total mess. Nothing I'm seeing is selling me that this gorgeous girl is a bride to be and about to be doing all her wedding things - showers, bachelorette parties, pictures in her wedding dress. Then I see a recent pic of her and she now is super skinny and back to her stylish, stunning self. Its just not tracking for me that this girl wouldn't be going all out and doing all the things as she prepares for her big wedding day. Because of this I'm even questioning if this engagement was real in the first place.
I think the criticisms towards Lindsay are completely valid and accurate, but Carl is a not a saint and he knows how to push her buttons and I wonder if he is doing so knowing how she will react, especially when they cameras aren’t around. And I’m sorry, but at this point Carl had left Loverboy the prior fall, and they had spent $20k and six months for him to see a career coach and he said he still needs another year to figure out what he wants to do? That wouldn’t be fun to be attached to either. People are going to think I’m defending Lindsay, which I am not, but people are blinded by their hate of her and so happy that she is looking bad that they are giving Carl a completely free pass. We still haven’t seen the whole season, so there’s still a chance for Carl to show his ass too. But I’m sure everyone will overlook it because they hate Lindsay

i think lyndsay is very concerned that people are going to question her relationship with alcohol. so she deflects. personally i think lyndsay is an alcoholic because so many of her problems occur when shes loaded.

I really am wondering if Carl just pokes and pokes and provokes her in his own subtle way. I am still waiting to see, I do agree that it isn’t a good look for Lindsey, at all. It seems like she is accusing him to hurt him, and it’s wrong! I just wonder what Carl’s responsible for, at times you can see his tone and judgement of her. It’s seems to be driving her to lash out.

I'm not being sold on Lindsey being a " bride to be" in the next few months as I'm watching this show. She's coming off as dumpy, frumpy - the stuff she is wearing, even how she carries herself. She has her extension clips just showing for the world to see in last episode - total mess. Nothing I'm seeing is selling me that this gorgeous girl is a bride to be and about to be doing all her wedding things - showers, bachelorette parties, pictures in her wedding dress.
Then I see a recent pic of her and she now is super skinny and back to her stylish, stunning self. Its just not tracking for me that this girl wouldn't be going all out and doing all the things as she prepares for her big wedding day. Because of this I'm even questioning if this engagement was real in the first place.
I think the criticisms towards Lindsay are completely valid and accurate, but Carl is a not a saint and he knows how to push her buttons and I wonder if he is doing so knowing how she will react, especially when they cameras aren’t around. And I’m sorry, but at this point Carl had left Loverboy the prior fall, and they had spent $20k and six months for him to see a career coach and he said he still needs another year to figure out what he wants to do? That wouldn’t be fun to be attached to either. People are going to think I’m defending Lindsay, which I am not, but people are blinded by their hate of her and so happy that she is looking bad that they are giving Carl a completely free pass. We still haven’t seen the whole season, so there’s still a chance for Carl to show his ass too. But I’m sure everyone will overlook it because they hate Lindsay
Lindsey is delusional. Unfortunately she’s also surrounded by people who aren’t straight up telling her, your behavior is completely inappropriate!!!!!! I know Gaby is trying but she should be more blunt with her. Carl did the best thing remaining silent after the break up and letting the audience watch this unfold. I’m shocked at Lindsey’s behavior. Even though I shouldn’t be.
I agree with you, she is trying to put him in a very bad light, I feel sooty for Carl, he is in controling relationship, I recognise that as I have been in one, is just show women can be abusive

i think lyndsay is very concerned that people are going to question her relationship with alcohol. so she deflects. personally i think lyndsay is an alcoholic because so many of her problems occur when shes loaded.
Please take this right way, but if u guys wanna go more mainstream, friendly advice, cut back on F word. Just Sayin, really dig your podcast.
