- We feel like beginners at all this. So today we head to the largest Motorhome show in the UK at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham to get some inspiration.

Regarding getting a cat: Please do not get a cat if you are going to be traveling and sometimes leaving him/her behind for long periods of time.

Glad that someone else asked the question I asked. Definitely team Neil. Maybe you can put an advert out asking if anyone would be interested in looking after your cat for periods of time in exchange for some sort of reasonable quid pro quo or compensation?

Great video, you guys are getting better and better at this! In Australia a lot of people tow their cars behind their motor homes - is that allowed there? Is leaving your vehicles (and cat?) an option at a relative's house, with suitable covers and battery chargers attached?

Hello People! I did ask if you might get a cat but as a traveller myself, I won't get animals at present because I go away too often, not fair on the animal. As much as I would like one, I will wait until the day I don't travel as often. I look after my daughters dogs and cat to get my fur fill. Sorry for starting a family rift!

I know someone who just got the French 12 month visa. He does own a house there though, that may have been a factor in him getting it, I'm not sure. I think it also involves having to pay taxes there too.
Are you friends with @ WorldTowning? As a family of four they traveled all around Europe in a small RV. Now they travel the world on their sailboat with their cat, Century. I'm for Team Cat.

I see on the internet that there are some pub stopovers in the UK. That would be interesting. Park the RV there and talk to people. Just a thought.
maybe after the van tour, people will have more a sense of the 'vibe' of the van and come up with a good name then
Hey guys, what time is your live stream? With regard to getting a cat, definitely no (that’s probably because I’m not a cat person) - get a frog. Suggested name for the van - Trevor or Deirdre.
People may have pet allergies; this could be a barrier to selling the RV. But- your choice 😀
Congrats on the milestone of videos. Fun to go on a lice stream. What time will it be at exactly? I think it might be too early for me to make it bas I'm meeting a friend but let's see... About the cat, I'm team Sara. Please don't adopt a cat. Poor little one, It wouldn't be fair on an animal to change their environment and leave them with friends or other arrangement when you'll be going away travelling to further away places. It shouldn't be about you, but about them and their wellbeing. Maybe look at doing house sitting when you feel like looking after cats or maybe you might want to find cat cafe around the UK (a serie on chasing cat cafes, LOL)
Sorry Neil I'm team Sarah, for two reasons, restrictions on staying at places where pets aren't allowed and the complexities of dealing with summer heat waves and ventilating the camper for your fur baby. As for mh names "FI" because she gives you fi dom to go roam in your FI years.
Think about visiting an animal shelter to get your cat fix.

I couldn't think of anything worse than a cat - we had one who lived for 20yrs (until we had her PTS) she was the most contrary animal we have ever had in our family. She never liked being hugged or patted, you couldn't pick here up without being thanked by a thousand lashes from her claws, she attacked the dogs, she scratched all the furniture in our house (despite having a 5* scratching post along with a few other options) the only good thing about cat ownership is they don't care if you leave them alone for the weekend or who looks after them, as long as they are warm and fed they are fine, and the last 2 years decided to piss and poop in every part of the house, and took up howling. NO THANKS !! I think you're either a cat person or a dog person and I'd much rather have a dog.

So happy for you and your motorhome looks fantastic! Can't wait for the whole tour :). Those RV shows are dangerous for the pocketbook!! Sometimes a new one makes the most sense. We plan to upgrade shortly as well, from a well loved RV to a new one that is covered by a warranty. Life on the road has a lot of bumps and lumps and funds can drain quickly!! Enjoy your new lifestyle. I think it's the best way to go. You will hopefully love the people you meet. While driving across Canada this summer, we met people from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Israel, Brazil, Italy. Some actually shipped their RV over here - something to consider!! All the best :)
