My neighbors would think someone new moved in, it's been so long! My only trouble is I do not have the energy or physical ability to do any of it and my husband, like Grant, already has so much on his plate. She full on prayed out loud right there in the hall that my period would come ... I was mortified. But the next day my cycle started and the next cycle was the one I became pregnant. I don’t mind when people wanna decorate for the holidays. It’s a personal choice. If it makes you happy go for it. I wait till after thanksgiving but that’s just me. I want to enjoy my fall decorations during fall. I’m big into Halloween so those decorations get one full month too lol. Oct is Halloween, nov is fall and dec is Christmas fun. Just remember it’s your home and make it happy. ❤️
Yes! I fully support people who want to decorate for Christmas early. However, I like to enjoy Fall after Halloween for a little bit. Thanksgiving week is when I switch to Christmas. I just love fall too much to let it fall by the wayside 😂

One thing i love when i drive around and see houses set up outside for Christmas is the tree. Seeing a Christmas tree lit up by the window just warms my heart. That is the best part when i see houses set up🥰

A Christmas tradition my bff’s family started with their kids was they bought a hallmark ornament for each kid every year that somehow pertained to something in the year. So for instance the year her brother bought his first truck they got him an old truck hallmark ornament. The plan was that when they grew up and moved away they were supposed to take those ornaments with them to start their own trees. Their mom ended up wanting to keep them all lol but I ive always thought it was such a cute idea. I thought it might be cute for you guys to start WHEN you have that sweet little baby. You may more enjoy having a theme for a tree which is totally understandable but for some reason I was compelled to share this story/idea with you ❤️
We cut two every year now because one tree is mine and one is my husbands lol. We get ours the weekend before thanksgiving so I gave plenty of time to decorate them. Mine is a whole winter scene with snow, animals and extra white Burch trees. It’s extra at my house 😂

Growing up, my family always had three trees. One my mom kept up all year and decorated for each holiday/season. We live in Ohio and my dad is a big buckeye fan so we have an “Ohio tree” decorated in scarlet and gray with cardinals that sits in the front picture window that can be seen from outside, plus our main Christmas tree. In recent years we’ve only had two, Ohio tree and main tree, now that my brother and I are adults. Go all out on Christmas while you can. Especially when you have little ones running around 🥰 my dad can no longer get on the roof to hang ice sickle lights outside but that was one of my most favorite things about Christmas during my childhood. Coming home from Christmas concerts at school and other Christmas events to a beautifully decorated house was always magical and made the season so special and bright.

You need to get the little Christmas light fixer gun thing. Ok, I honestly have no idea what it is called, but my mom has one. Her pre-lit tree was having the same issues and she totally brought it back to life! No extra lights needed! 🥰

I’ve never been through what you’re going through and I’m not a doctor... but I have had irregular periods my entire life and there’s a couple of things I’ve noticed regarding that. The more stressed out and tense I am - the longer it takes to arrive. Which makes sense. So I’ve tried multiple things that have helped like guided meditation online, working out, watching favorite movies and snacking by myself - anything that causes an emotional reaction of any sort and also other things like being intimate, massages, baths, self care and just basically anything that gives me some deep relaxation!! Mine usually comes when I’m able to get myself to fully relax and just kind of let go of stress. Easier said than done, but I hope this helps!!! And if nothing else... you at least deserve that!! It’s been a rough year for everyone. So enjoy! Also, the three Christmas tree idea makes perfect sense to me!!! Can’t wait to see how you decorate this year! Ready for some holiday cheer 🎄😍🎉
Balsam Hill disaster: I convinced my husband that our tree needed to be from Balsam Hill "itll last us FOREVER" well, our tree arrived and the lights didnt work, they put me through the ringer to fix it over the phone, they had to send out a whole new section to us. The following year it didnt work AGAIN and couldnt be fixed. In order to replace it they wanted me to ship it back, I lived on a 3rd floor apartment, I wasnt getting that tree down the stairs 😂 So they sent an entirely new tree and it DIDNT work. It took me 3 seasons to tediously remove the pre lit lights from the tree, after paying $650 for a tree we were not just tossing it. Its a gorgeous tree but Im done with pre lit
Kiddo I know exactly what you mean, the tree with just the lights just soothes my frazzled nerves. Very calming right now and leaving the Christmas ornaments off for a bit just makes sense.

Growing up, my family always had three trees. One my mom kept up all year and decorated for each holiday/season. We live in Ohio and my dad is a big buckeye fan so we have an “Ohio tree” decorated in scarlet and gray with cardinals that sits in the front picture window that can be seen from outside, plus our main Christmas tree. In recent years we’ve only had two, Ohio tree and main tree, now that my brother and I are adults. Go all out on Christmas while you can. Especially when you have little ones running around 🥰 my dad can no longer get on the roof to hang ice sickle lights outside but that was one of my most favorite things about Christmas during my childhood. Coming home from Christmas concerts at school and other Christmas events to a beautifully decorated house was always magical and made the season so special and bright.

You need to get the little Christmas light fixer gun thing. Ok, I honestly have no idea what it is called, but my mom has one. Her pre-lit tree was having the same issues and she totally brought it back to life! No extra lights needed! 🥰
Too early? Nah. My tree is up, fully decorated, my fireplace is decorated, and I’ve started on the outside already too.
We lost our house in hurricane Laura and i definitely feel like we need a mini tree in our camper. With 4 kids we need some Christmas cheer around these parts. 🌲

I’ve never been through what you’re going through and I’m not a doctor... but I have had irregular periods my entire life and there’s a couple of things I’ve noticed regarding that. The more stressed out and tense I am - the longer it takes to arrive. Which makes sense. So I’ve tried multiple things that have helped like guided meditation online, working out, watching favorite movies and snacking by myself - anything that causes an emotional reaction of any sort and also other things like being intimate, massages, baths, self care and just basically anything that gives me some deep relaxation!! Mine usually comes when I’m able to get myself to fully relax and just kind of let go of stress. Easier said than done, but I hope this helps!!! And if nothing else... you at least deserve that!! It’s been a rough year for everyone. So enjoy! Also, the three Christmas tree idea makes perfect sense to me!!! Can’t wait to see how you decorate this year! Ready for some holiday cheer 🎄😍🎉
Balsam Hill disaster: I convinced my husband that our tree needed to be from Balsam Hill "itll last us FOREVER" well, our tree arrived and the lights didnt work, they put me through the ringer to fix it over the phone, they had to send out a whole new section to us. The following year it didnt work AGAIN and couldnt be fixed. In order to replace it they wanted me to ship it back, I lived on a 3rd floor apartment, I wasnt getting that tree down the stairs 😂 So they sent an entirely new tree and it DIDNT work. It took me 3 seasons to tediously remove the pre lit lights from the tree, after paying $650 for a tree we were not just tossing it. Its a gorgeous tree but Im done with pre lit

Your conversation with Grant about the multiple Christmas trees was so cute! 😃 and no I don’t think it’s too early to put up Christmas decorations. I think we all could use a little extra cheer this year. I’ve been with you long before the Christmas ball wall, but I remember you and Grant putting that up together. And yes to the two pencil trees for the corners. I like my tree being in the window area if possible too but living in tiny apartments for many years, I usually just have to put it wherever it fits.
