am i alone in thinking the tone in this one always felt weirdly mean spirited compared to every other episode? its not bad at all, i love this episode to bits and its one of the most memorable episodes for me. it just feels...meaner than usual? many jokes feel like they come from some sort of place of anger or discontent like them bringing back the "coach z's been drinking listerine" joke from the first one but replacing it with "unspecific mouth wash" and forcing homestar to sign a legal doccument. and just the fact that senor cardgage's failing health is taken so lightly and even making a joke about homsar being at death's door near the end, it just feels so mean and very unhomestar runner-y at points. it isnt a BAD episode, I like it, it just weirds me out a little bit. i remember this was the last episode before a big hiatus so it feels like they were feeling a little bit fed up with these characters and this world at this point and subconciously took out their anger on their characters. maybe a hiatus was in order at this point idk. still far from a bad episode. just kinda off to me. in a good way though, it's kinda neat having this expirimental weird episode where everything is slightly off.
@@tangy3003 im glad you feel the same way about that one too! that one's weird vibe is a little bit less ambigious why i feel that way though i mean it is a pretty obvious "fuck you" to the fans who complained about the lack of sbemails. also halfway through writing this comment i just REALZIE OMFG TANGY FROM MSPFA? I wouldn't call it mean-spirited, but I'd say the mood is a bit darker. What surprised me most, is that Strong Bad wasn't looking up to Señor Cardgage like the way he usually does. He used to be excited when offered a slice o' gum; now he reduced Señor Cardgage to someone who lives in a bush and talks to melted candy bars.
“‘Scuse me, you’re disgusting. Barf.”
Love the reading on that line.
Back when this toon came out, I always figured I'd grow up to be cool like Strong Bad. I actually turned into Senor Cardgage.
this is the single most depressing thing i’ve ever read.
@@thetetrisking what do you mean, Senor Cardgage is so cool
So you're just a different kind of cool.
As long as you can avoid the more depressing aspects of Coach Z
Combolations Elizagerth, me too lol
"Hello chi minh?"
God, I love Homestar humor.
"I'm your Death's door neighbor. Cough, cough, toast." 🤣
@@LadyFan05"mohhh.... My coma's toast.." 😆
Me when HR Archive uploads after 2 years: "Is this a frank call?"
“Marzipan. Did that guy just call me ‘Hot Pooey’ and invite me inside that bush.” That line never ceases to make me crack up!!
actually it was hot pooey
@@sweetypussthank you! I hate auto correct so much, I’m glad you noticed it!
This is my favorite decemberween toon. So many different things out of this that I repeat in conversation
"You decided to take at face value, something that the guy who 'lives in a bush and talks to melty candy bars' said."
And who not-60-minutes-ago said I, quote, "Might paste away if I Dinty Moore".
That's some quality Decemberween audio
out of senor cardgage or homsar i can't tell who's weirder
Yes... very yes
5:43 OooooOOOOooooOOOOhh... I'm your deaths door Neighbeooor... Poff.. Coff.. Toff... :'(
I dont think i ever caught "Hello- Chi- Mein" thats amazing
So glad Homsar didn't really die
Always sad to see Homsar dying. It's not like Strong Sad, who deserves it!
I remember seeing this back years ago. What great memories this toon was!
this one is my favourite, probably
I remember this one
Anyone find it creepy and funny that Senor Cardgage's eyes were open when he died?
5:45: HE’S DYING!
24 years now.
Hot pooey needs to be a tag.
