- Liverpool defender Andy Robertson came to the rescue of a young supporter at the end of Saturday's dramatic win over Nottingham Forest. The Reds stayed top of the Premier League thanks to Darwin Núñez's 99th minute header at the City Ground.
Robertson then led the six-year-old over to the away fans and the youngster was then seen being held aloft by Harvey Elliott on the pitch. He was also pictured with Jürgen Klopp and Luis Díaz.

Once again the media focuses and make out Liverpool are the poor victims.
For a start this lad was not the subject of the anger from the Forest fans but the ref, who simply lied about the rules and gave the ball back to Liverpool hoping they would get a winner. A goal in the 99th minute in a 98 extra time.
No fans and certainly no Forest fans would attack a young mascot like this is desperately trying to make out. I don't know where teams put their mascots during the game but near opposition fans is daft. He probably got upset because of the anger of 27k fans angry at such unjust treatment. But Liverpool are well known for deflecting anything at them.
This excuse about the ball being given back to Forest for something similar in the first half is also reported wrong not helped by Klopp. The rules state if the ball is in the box when the ref blows for a head injury then its a dropball Nd played back to the team in procession.... usually the goalkeeper.
This incident at the end, the ball was outside of the box. Liverpool goalkeeper should not have been given the ball. The 4th offical is seen trying to tell the ref this who ignores him.
Liverpool are also to blame for not respecting the rules and should have at least kicked the ball back to the Forest goalie. It was not a free kick!
Once again we see terrible refs who simply don't know, ignore the rules or are simply baised to the top 6, liking the attention. The media are just to blame and so desperate for Klopp to win everything in his final season they will simply say its Forests fault for not concentrating the last 90 seconds or Hudson odi not keeping the ball. Hardly anything about the ref hugly affecting the game towards Liverpool.

Lad the goal was scored at 98.35 after they signalled a MINIMUM of 8 minutes. Did the fact the ref had to book 2 Forest players for timewasting after 90 minutes completely pass you by or did you just want them to end the game early for you?
