Suggestion in the future take a big screw driver and poke a hole in bottom of oil filter, drain oil, remove oil filter.

6 quartz of oil is like 5.6ltrs. Is that gallon 5.6ltrs or did you have to pour another 0.6litres to balance tjings up?
