The best interviewer by far. Thank you Andrew Denton, and RIP Peter Brock.

Pretty amazing to think that this guy was the figurehead of the aussie muscle car bogan boy racer Holden loving king of the mountain. Yet so thoughtful. So sincere. So honest. So self reflective. So self aware. So humble. So kind...................... such a great australian sporting hero and so multi dimensional. A quality that seems to be sorely lacking in today's breed. Kudos to Denton also for this wonderful interview and for being the best listener in the country and taking his viewers on the journey with him......... RIP Brocky.................... A national icon

Peter brock will NEVER be dead in the hearts and minds of true Australian motorsports fans. As a 14 yo I watched him beat Alan Moffat in his a9x torana and from that moment I knew I had to have a torana v8. When I turned 18 I brought an ss manual v8 hatch, fitted flairs drop tank and Hotwire mags. My whole family has been Holden through and through. My brother in law had an a9x four door, torana xu1 hz 308 sandman and many more. At last count I’ve owned 11 cars and it’s all because of the love of them that this man instilled in me. I may peter at a Mobil service station around 2003, he was driving the Monaro that was built to be driven in the targa Tasmania with his son. There he was signing autographs and I asked if he could sign my 308 vk calais, he did and I shook his hand and said I’ve watched you race since I was 14 and what a pleasure it’s been to have seen all those great races, he smiled and said that’s very kind of you and he’d enjoyed all of it. That vk now belongs to my brother. I sold it to him to keep it in the family with brockys signature still on the glovebox. I now have another 308 vk calais and we cruise together. Everywhere we go we get people coming up taking photos and having a chat. Every year I attend the historic meetings at Phillip Island and sandown where all the cars from the good old days of Bathurst gather. It’s great to be in the company of people who love these cars and that era and takes me back to that day I met the king. Rip Pete always a legend.

Peter Brock, I'm now sixty three and back in the day of the XU1 you became my hero. In years to follow you still were.
And the main reason is because of your laid back attitude, when you lost you never blamed others, if it was your fault you said so. Okay the cross entry of cars became a controversy but it was within the rules at the time.
    You're still missed mate.

Yes Grice and Perkins were monsters just as good as brock on the track and mechanically smart but, Brock won the hearts of the people just by being Peter. Watch his lap of Bathurst on racecam, that video alone shows why the people love PB. Long live 05, thanks for all you did PB, rest in peace mate ❤

I had brooky scare the shit out of me in Sydney airport in 92 when i was in army and myself and few mates in uniform waiting for plane to fly to Darwin for K92 exercise and we were walking around airport and we were on the flat escalator when Mr Perfect come up from behind and we heard "swing those fucking arms" and when we turned around to have a few words to say, here he was in his suit and brief case and having a chuckle that he managed to catch us of guard. We had a brief chat said he was on his way to meeting and said id rather be in a race car than running around the bush so enjoy your day boys and that was that he took off.

I can see now what dick was saying & implying on that post death chat interview at the top of skyline, if you never seen it, search it, to understand enough is enough takes common sense- Moffat jumped out of a car at Suzuka on his 50th, & hung up the helmet- as a fan Ford fan- I wished he gave it totally away.
