- Upgrading the Rear Brake Lights to LED Bulbs on a 2009 Hyundai Elantra- how to change brake light bulbs.
Today I change the 2009 Hyundai Elantra rear brake light bulbs to LED bulbs. Same procedure to replace bulbs with the original incandescent bulbs
**If you upgrade to LED bulbs and you have issues with the cruise control system after the upgrade then you will need to add load resistors. The only other option is to go back to regular (OEM) bulbs.

Love LED light's brother💯
Me too. 👍😀
Hello Mike, I love that it is really easy. I didn't know that they made LED lights for the cars . thank for sharing. 💕NonnaGrace
they do but some vehicles require a load resistor like these hyundai's to make everything work properly. take care
load resitor's link is taking to a windscreen repair kit.
all set, thanks
Thank you your video help a lot
You are kind. Thank you for the help. Be blessed.
quick and easy !
Yes sir
I was looking to see how you install the resistor, since you’re video claim you need it which I agree
I did not video it cause of lighting issues. But they are easy enough to install. One wire clips on the positive to the bulb and the other clips on the negative. If you don’t add a resistor on these cars you’ll get a code for the brake switch and cruise control won’t engage.
@@TechnMoto thank you.

Good to know. Thanks
👍
Thanks!
Thank you.
are they still working?
Yes still working fine. Must a load resistor when converting to LED or the cruise control won't work and you'll get a code for the brake light switch. If not sure on this just replace with the OEM light bulbs. Thanks
Elantra 2010, My bulbs keep failing. the head lights ones become dim of one side and once I replace it, after some time the other side one becomes dim.
The brake lights keep going bad as well. they dont become dim they just go out, but again not together but one by one. I will try to install these and see if it works.@@TechnMoto
Check for a bad ground somewhere or bad connections between the bulb and connections. I know in the past I have had problems with the ground wire that runs underneath the battery box on these vehicles. Wish you luck.
thanks Mate.@@TechnMoto

Hi Techn' Great video. Will this cause fast flash? Oh and why don't you have any channels in your channel list?
To upgrade to LED on this vehicle you will need to install LED resistors. If you just install the LED light bulbs you will have problems with cruise control and will get a brake switch code. Just replace with oem bulbs so you don’t have issues unless you do it correctly with resistors. Take care
