Sweet flight my dude 👌 By my expert calculation that's about 5,600 shoe lengths per scream nugget Or in car speak, slightly more than 1MPG (mile per grain is a valid unit in certain parts of Texas)
That is an awesome rocket, flew very straight! Would have been cool if the rocket named "The view from half way up" had a camera to see said view. Maybe next time?
I have another addition concerning the paint removal. Change to wet sanding on previously epoxied portions of the airframe! It eliminates the dust. Makes the sandpaper last much, much, much much, much longer. AND, it is faster! Just insure do you have wet/dry sandpaper, and 120v power tools are double insulated or properly grounded!
Congratulations! From an old man, just starting in High Power Rocketry. I have a question. Was the wobble at the end of the powered portion of the flight caused by the fins not being quite stiff enough? Am looking to learn what I can before I start building. Tell The Rocket Vlog Meister that his flight photography was great, as usual. Oh, last minute addition. Kansas dust and dirt Truly SUCKS ! I moved to Wyoming from Kansas 2½ years ago, and I am still cleaning my tools, RC Airplanes, books...... It's everywhere and on everything and is difficult to get it all. I flew model rockets in the 1960's, then moved on to RC Airplanes. BUT, I now have Parkinson's disease and the tremors make landing problematic! So, it's back to Rocketry's push of a button for flight. I just found your video today and will go back to episode 1. Thanks Bob
My belief is that the coning at the end of the burn was due to it being slightly unstable through mach 2 but I can't guarantee that. Coning can also just kinda happen sometimes for basically no reason so I'm not too sure haha
I ended up not. I was contemplating it because of the cp shift through mach transitions. According to sims it should've had about 1.15 cal of stability through mach 2 but my theory is that the coning seen at the end of the burn was because it was slightly unstable but I can't be 100% certain.
@@PostartPropulsions makes sense. Crazy that with all that weight forward from that long ass motor, it still wasn’t enough but that thing was hauling ass!
Was such a crazy flight! Thanks for letting us all be a part of it. 🎉
Can't wait to see you fly yours!
Watching from Tennessee! AWESOME! Anything that flys- NERDS RULE!
Thanks!
Good going young man props on your dad for being there hopefully you go into some form of rocketry we need more engineers

I would've loved to have on board video but mach 2 would've melted a camera shroud on the side and i didn't have room in the electronics bay for one
Great job, Shane!! WELL DONE!!!!!
Thank you!

Awesome dude!!! im abount to fire up KSP RP-1 and build me a Tiny Tim lol. kutgw!
Thanks! Love ksp lol
Shane! Another AWESOME Video!!! just one question? Does the nozzle come with the case? or the motor grains? or is the nozzle a separate purchase?
Thank you! The nozzle comes with the motor
big
Please say the impulse strawberry seconds for us metric users next time
You're right I just totally spaced it!
Wtf is this? Hamas diy rockets?
Did you have to add any nose weight with so much of that motor being in front of the CP? Great flight!
Great Question! I would like to know the answer, also!

Get a decent mask and gloves man.
I went out and bought a proper respirator after about an hour of sanding the paint off
