I would like to be gabriela's guitar. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy! I should practice more. When I first heard Van Halen in the 80's I thought to myself, I must learn to do that. 20+ years later I am thinking the same thing again. Completely re-inspired by these guys.
In the demonstration at 7:07 she plays: Hit, fingers down, thumb up, hit, fingers down (Repeat) Then the triplet technique is added occasionally like this: Hit, fingers down, thumb down, thumb up, hit, fingers down. Also, a guitarist taught me how to add an accent chord immediately after the hits by pulling up hard on the strings with the fingers. Hit, fingers up, fingers down, thumb up, hit, fingers down.
3:45 I love when she says ... try to loose the “wrisk “ I speak four languages, so I’m not your typical ignorant American. I understand how it is to learn to speak, each word is just a new sound that we have to make it make sense. I honestly just think it’s cute. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Wooooooooooooooooooooooow I thought i was going to take me a lot of time but i can do it after 30 minutes watching, pausing and practicing OMG THAAAAAAANK YOU RODRIGO & GABRIELA, I thought you teach too fast but you did perfectly. Masters!
It's a very agressive technique so it will take some time to get used to, yes. Regarding calluses, i dunno i don't think I have any, I use long nails so i can't help there. Also it is better/easier if you do it in a nylon stringed guitar, but i can also do it on my electric guitar without much problem too. Obviously if it hurts too much stop, let the hand heal for a while and keep at it. Your hand will get accustomed in no time mate.
Same here lol, searched like billions of flamenco videos to see different techniques that kinda sorta looked liek what she is doin. It still isn't perfect i sometimes miss one or two but it's pretty consistent now. Practice is the key people :D
Hmm.After one hour I had the gist of it,as in understood how they were produced and could perform them but in a very lousy way. After two week I was able to finally forget about form and invest time in developing speed.I put around 2-4 hrs of daily practice, and around 1-2 of those were spent on triplets. So I assume if you invest REALLY heavily on practice,it could be done in a decent way, moreso if you are good at the intrument of have "talent"(it still is 90% hard work 10% random stuff+talent)
Well I can already do pretty much everything else Gabriela does - percussive and rhythm and so forth - so I guess I do have this 'talent' you speak of ;) I'll give it a shot, thanks for the advice!
Same here I got the main idea in half hour xD my friend was so horrified, cuz he worked 4 hours to do it. And about speed, mine improved a lot in just a week, I was even surprised myself, to be honest. I guess it's my talent to catch up quickly with something :3
Where is the tutorial for this tutorial ?
Jaroslav Staněk lmfao hilarious
Tip for learning the fast bits: click settings - speed - 0.5x
Gab's parts are just so damn cool. Will not stop till I get the right had style down!
Well, how are you getting on, 8 years later, have you mastered it yet? I've been trying and am nowhere! 🤣

Does anyone know the chords she is playing when this part is demonstrated?

Whatever you call it....it's fantastico....Great!
Te amo, Gabi!!! eres impresionanta!!
Best female guitar player ever?
Thanks! It works! Took me a week to start doing triplets confidently at plausible speed.
These guys are genius 💃🎻🎼
Thanks for the tutorial! You're awesome guys

Best guitar player.
I recommend listening to 6:19 at 0.5 speed.. I found this while trying to catch the notes slowly ..

I'm meant to be doing this in less than two weeks. Do you think it can be done? :P
Now we gonna do this slowly.. Still plays faster than the refreshrate on the camera....
hey you all im a big fan ,love the lessons
How do I stop the back of my fingers from bleeding
After two months of practice, i can do the triplets. Hell yeah.
Now teach me 😂
WHAT THE F*CK Gabriela! Why are you so good

I would like to play as Gabriela *-*
Love the sound of the guitars, what are they, and what are they being played through? I hear a slight echo.
That hit!
Does anyone know what she’s doing with the chords in the second part they sound slightly different
they are the Love my life😍😍😍😍
me too
Rodrigo dont you have tab for that what are you playing just you, please?
Well I can already do pretty much everything else Gabriela does - percussive and rhythm and so forth - so I guess I do have this 'talent' you speak of ;) I'll give it a shot, thanks for the advice!
perfect!!
6:33 which chords does she use in tabs? She sais they are the same chords but looks like they are different
up please

No problem dude hope I helped ya.
just zoom in on where to put your hands that's really all we need
Thumb up if you skipped Rodrigo's tutorial parts.
thx for replying :)
I can do the triplet technique, after half hour of practice :D Now gonna study it more
3:15
It’s easy !!!!
Could somebody describe the way Gabriella plays? ( v^v^)
i am about to dominate the triplets! i just have like thirty minutes practicing them :D!
I just can't get the rythm pattern around 2:00 =( Thanks for the lesson though.
is it normal that the ringfinger hurts quitea bit in the beginning? do you get callussy fingers just like on the left hand?
Why am I even watching this! I play piano wtf?
Cuz piano is boring
my ring and thumb fingers bleeds
What about it?
big fan I meant
agreed! lmao
ogts en espanish plis qxDDD
Even when she said she's playing "slowly" it's too fast for me
Probably just some reverb.
It is not easy. I still stuggle to maintain the percussion and so forth. Nothign relaly worth it is easy.
I am a big of this tune and the style but that riff at 4.30 sounds like theme music for a woodwork documentary. I just don't like it.
Horrible lesson on gabriela's part, show us the rithym patterns slowly not just the triplet part
So that it can be more colorful? Does this lady even know how to play the guitar?
BORING BEGINNERS!
