actually the wheel did not come off due to the speed bump but actually the axle had melted from the friction of it spinning so fast so lego pieces actually melted, this can be stopped by applying some sort of lubricant to the axle and the connection
Fun fact: The Defender name has only existed since 1990. The very first prototype had a center-mounted steering wheel. All Defenders are made with aluminum skin, thanks to post-WWII steel supply shortages. It's the Queen's vehicle of choice when she's not in a limo.
Maybe do this more often but with some custom suspension builds too. And maybe get a more dedicated slow mo camera since slowing the footage down makes it way choppier and there is less detail. Any iPhone will do fine, or a Samsung if you want slower footage but at the cost of quality.
The problem is that lego cars are too light, especially the unmotorized ones, plus no weight of driver, passengers, cargo, etc. They could bounce a lot over bumps. Plus the bumps aren't even straight to begin with in this demonstration. Not a good simulation for the real world.
That thing has "suspensions" in it. Weight still matters. If it's 50kg would you think it would bounce that high...There's no motor and cargo and passenger in that kind of vehicles. Using a vehicle with just the shell to do real world testing is not ideal. And don't ignore my point that the bumps aren't even straight to begin with...definitely make a difference.
If you put an engine it would go smoother, the wheels is slowing down the car and adding friction when hitting the bump and the rope is not helping if you don’t have an engine
THIS is actually a great example of why you should NOT slow down when driving over a speed bump smaller than a certain size. You will just make the bumb feel much more intense when closing in on the car's suspensions' own frequency. Especially train crossings should be crossed with normal speed.
Keep in mind it’s a 1/16 scale model so 5kph is effectively 80kph
1/14 or 12
Was gonna mention this too 20kph is essentially 320kph or nearly 200mph so it did well
This is also a great example to slow down when you're going to speed bump because you're car will lose a tire
My car isnt made of lego
@@the_goofiest_goober 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@richnoob1625 your comment doesn't make sense I don't get it too
@@ノ益ノ yeah same here tbh
@@ノ益ノ he said his car isn’t made out of Lego but obviously this car is just a weaker and smaller versions of the real one

Wrong the stud came loose from the vibrations and the harsh movement 💀
Typical Land Rover.
@@polarodiance2931 So this lego is perfect in all ways!

great demonstration of how shocks are useful in suspension
По моему, первым должен был отвалиться бампер, за который был привязан тросик
*_Cool, speed bumps just like on my layout!_*

It was her favourite vehicle until she died
Faster it gets, more subtle and gentle it becomes
I finally found someone that test there Lego technics
The Defender has an excellent suspension 👍👍👍👍👍
Its better without music and satisfying to watch

Top idea to show a good load test
Make such vids with old cars like Honda Civic or City of 2001 to 2008
In conclusion. Drive as fast as possible, and the car will fly without wheels
Did you push the wheels back onto the spindles after each bump? Or every few?
Cool test
on stage 1, the suspension looks like it does nothing lol nice video
if you see Malaysia speed bumps, you can know the different Malaysia speed bump big and high
Have the wheel bearings melted?
no
How did you make those speed bumps
Lego life please do a bugatti chiron test
Keep in mind the size is about 1/10 the size of the actual vehicle and being made out of entirely plastic it is not to scale with weight.
Nice

They bounce cos there's no oil in the dampers or no dampers at all. The weight won't affect the bounce

This video is a great reason to stop on speed bumps

Best videos ever!
Moral of the story : Never go on a speed bump at 20km/h because your car will lose a wheel
THIS is actually a great example of why you should NOT slow down when driving over a speed bump smaller than a certain size. You will just make the bumb feel much more intense when closing in on the car's suspensions' own frequency. Especially train crossings should be crossed with normal speed.
Should go as fast as possible without breaking a wheel?
It did pretty well on 20km/h but the front bumper got damaged
1:55 Se imaginan si se saliera la llanta en la vida real
You should use the built in winch so that you dont bend the bumper
Wow! That's incredible!👍👍
I bought a Ferrari this time, can I make a video with a similar composition?
I'll leave it as a fixed comment
Can we consider it as a real car.?

Alternate title: Destroy your axles and halvetrains in just 1 speedbump.
Thins car is amazing. I have it but my transmission is broken, somehow the gears broke
U gotta grease those axles or ur gonna be melting the plastic
I feel bad for those plastic axels
I have that exact Lego set
Yeah me too
Me too. One that doesn’t have that ugly roof rack
where are the locking pins
What about 4th gear and high? My gearbox would shred
and he is on the remote control please tell me😢
i didint know lego cars can have suspension
Wow
Suspensions ✌️✌️
👍👍
This Lego Technic Land Rover Defender behave like a real car

Car speed what that car thinks: 5km/h=50km/h
10km/h=100km/h
15km/h=150km/h
20km/h=200km/h
Больше скорость-меньше кочек

thats your fault you put the wheel on wrong
