The idea of the project became obsolete 10-15 years ago. And the selection of the materials themselves, from which you need to build a ship, simply does not stand up to criticism ..... A modeler who can build a ship well from this set needs a standing ovation, because this is an incredibly difficult job carving a sculpture from solid wood ....
Very nice build, not an easy kit. Yours seems to be a newer version. I finally got around to finishing this kit some 20 years after I bought it and mine had brown plastic parts for the prow and stern carvings and the shields, gives much deeper and finer definition to the carving but makes it very difficult to achieve a scale thickness.
For this ship I have used liquid Millarco secunda glue, it dries quickly and is a very good product for some shipbuilding. But Robbe Speed the yellow which is jelly glue is also a good product and is easier to control

Nicely done!
Excellent!
I heard that the rigging was often made from walrus hide, not rope.
Den blev da fin! :)
I have sat in something like this and helped row it on Vänern in Sweden. Did the model come with seats for the oarsmen?
No it do not
Hello! I’m building one of these ships for an art reference. Would like to ask about the glues and tools you used?

Lovely build. Shame about the finishing. 🙂
It's weathered 🤨
I wonder if they holystoned the deck?
