I know how all the sharks mentioned that the world is moving towards healthier foods and away from fried foods but imagine its application in restaurants or chain shops. Likewise, given America's obesity rates, they really don't have to worry about fried foods not being popular
The world isn't and won't ever be moving away from fried foods. That's a fantasy that exists in the same bubble where they thought people would buy woke products and failed.
This seemed to be the most impressive product on Shark Tank. But reading online, there is a lot of copies, i dont think she patented it and the deal didnt close after the show.
This is from September this year "As per latest update from Shark Tank, FryAway has a net worth of $6 million. Mark Cuban and Lori Grenier invested $250,000 in Fry Away for a 22% equity. Since then the company has become a huge success with 300% growth in sales."
Yeah and then the dogs just eat it up you know they dig it up and stuff like that yeah good job not everybody just dumped it in their yard like trash you know really just a stupid comment I'm going to comment just because I can
@@electron429 That depends on the temperature. If you have cold winters, then obviously no. If it’s a warm summer, then you wait until the last minute and triple bag it with your plastic grocery bags. Cheers!
Judging from her $.96 landed price for the $9.99 3.5 ounce size I'm guessing the main ingredient is stearic acid. That means you're paying about $2.85 per ounce for FryAway. Adding stearic acid to cooking oil will do essentially the same thing at a MUCH lower cost - $.35 to $.60 per once -depending on where you buy it (eBay, Amazon, Walmart...) That's the reason there are a lot of copycat products.

Truth in advertising? FTX Kevin
I just dump my oil on the corner of the balcony of my neighbor below me who only comes 1 week a year
She should have asked to increase the money to $300K for 22% 😅

@@alinamorov7075 Dont trust everything you read online. lol thats bs
I don't believe in fried foods, which is like saying I don't believe in chopsticks, but people use them regardless.
I just dump my used cooking oils or fats in the corner of my yard. Nature gets rid of it all.
I have no issue with dumping oil in the yard. Most oil is made with natural ingredients in this modern era. I approve of this action.😀😀

Im from the South no one is frying less ..down here 😮

You know you can always just put the oil in the refrigerator and it'll harden. And then you can throw it away.
That’s basically what I do.
Wont it melt back to original form when you throw it away

I just dump my used oil down the drain and replace my plumbing every 5 years
The deal never closed. Supposedly there is a similiar product out there like it which makes her a copy cat
Would never put that crap in my cast iron cookware, EVER!!!!!!
Cheers.
They didnt ask if she has this patented
