Great video. Sending this to my orthodontist buddy...trying to get him to get on board. About to start my first case myself.
Congrats! Very nice video!

Thanks for posting these great videos!!!
My pleasure!
Hi Dr. Grutter,
Have you ever used the service Ortho plan from ProntoLab?
And if yes, would you recommend it?
Thank you
Hello Dr. Grutter. Maybe you have the same Excel to count laboratory coasts? Milling crowns, modeling CAD/CAM time and etc. It would be amazing to have it in Excel :)
Agreed. That would be great. If I get some downtime, I might work on it.
Hi Dr. Baron, yes a similar breakdown would be really appreciated 👍
Hi Dr. Grutter,
What about the cost of dental impression of your patient?
Thanks!
We use the Carestream CS3600 to take a digital impression. It has zero ongoing fees. $19-30k up front, depending on setup.
@@bgrutterdds Ok thank you, and what about silicon?
For full arch impressions, you're looking at maybe $30 in materials. Can be more depending on materials. Honestly, it's been so long since we've done a VPS impression for ortho that I can't say for sure. Sorry.
Also, you'll have to digitize either the impression directly (difficult) or the model. That will cost you either a $5k desktop scanner or need a lab to scan ~$5-10/model).
Thank you
