on the external checks you should check the following with the battery master on: pitot heat, stall warner, all the lights and beacon...

Very nice. It's been years and years since I've flown, heck, your airplane still had that 'new smell' about the last time I flew, and it's good to see someone taking the time to check everything.
Like Ryan, I would normally do the walk around, and if flying in the day, turn the master on, and turn the Nav lights and beacon on to check, and if into the evening or a night flight, also check the landing light. While doing that, I'd trip the stall warning switch on the way to check the port nav light so I could hear it.
I flew Cherokee 180s and Warriors/Archers, so didn't have to worry about retracts, so I didn't have the Auto Gear Extension to worry about . However, I was under the impression that they were supposed to be disconnected anyway, by FAA Mandate. I guess I'm wrong?
Anyway, thank you for the walk around, it brings back old memories. If I ever get enough money, I'd like a Turbo Arrow III, with a 'few mods.' :)

thanks! I just got my Arrow rating the other day, one like this and about same age. one thing I like to check is the nose wheel connector thing that stops the wheel spinning around, and I have a good look through the oil flap so see if anything Abnormal is in there.
    cheers!

Nice video. Only thing I found flaw was forgetting to test the operation of the lights and stall warning horn alarm.

Arrow owner here too. I would really have the source of that belly oil checked. That's why too much thrown over board.

Yeah, not too long after this video I cleaned all that off with WD-40. It did not seem to be a problem after that.

I used the iOS app "AirCheck" while filming. See air check lists dot com where you can download my preflight checklist onto the App

A few thoughts... First, good video overall. But, why don't you wear thick mechanic gloves while doing preflight (keep hands clean, and prevent them from being burnt on hot dip stick), and I didn't notice you check the exterior lights, the treads of the tires, security of antennas, or the brakes/rotors and leaks on the brake lines.

Is there a way to email me the checklist you used so I can to up load to my iPhone I just purchased a 75 Arrow and like your idea. Or can you tell me how I can make one and upload myself. Dan@Nautibuoys

Is the AirCheck app still available? My searching has been successful thus far.
