My two favorite restaurants in Florance are Trattoria Sergio Gozzi on Piazza di San Lorenzo. Must join the queue before 12 mid-day. Wild boar with red wine and pepper sauce is just amazing. And secondly, for some home-style cooking, you must try Trattoria Roberto on Via dei Castellani, I have been to both places twice, and hopefully next summer I hope to make it a third time.

I think it's amazing everywhere in Italy, but then there are some gelaterias that are just the best - and Florence has plenty of them!
