One time I drove to the hoop and hit the bottom of my back onto the pole. At first it stung and I tried to walk it off but the pain became so unbearable that I needed help getting to the sideline and lay on my belly. That tailbone pain is no joke.
My teammate did that with a soccer goalpost except he hit it on the opposite side (his chest) he started coughing up blood and fell to the ground and had to be taken out of the game and to the hospital..... he was fine shortly after, and was even good to practice about a week or two after, but he said that he felt no pain worse than that moment prior to it happening to him. I’ve had a tailbone injury, people who haven’t had it, count yourself lucky, you can’t sit longer than 5 minutes, otherwise it hurts too badly to stand back up, going to the bathroom feels like hell on earth, and people look at you weird when your limp after getting up
I've had a tailbone injury myself too and it was annoying as fuck. Can't even bend over to pick something up without the pain and when you walk it looks like you just got railed or you have a stick up your ass
I tried to shoot while im on top of a cemented tire. It didn't go in and I slipped hit my tailbone to the cement then I fell again and hit my tailbone again in the ground, can't sit or stand up without pain for weeks
@@charlescampugan2297 for me sitting down was a literal pain in the ass. I kept slightly standing up so the pain would be less, but standing up was he worse part. I never felt worse and better at the same time. On one hand, the pressure is gone, but on the other, the pain gets worse until you stand completely straight up

Only injury that ever made me miss games was my tail bone. It messed up all my nerves...I could play after a week but still feel it when using the restroom (it felt like I always had to go, even after going), 6 years later I live completely normal as I did right after the injury but it is still there. The nerve system is so important
When I was 19 I was at a party and was sitting on a fat girls lap and then suddenly we fell backwards off the deck and I landed right on my tailbone, took like 6 months to fully heal I couldn't run without pain for that entire time it sucked man......

About 4-5 years ago I was snowboarding in the terrain park and just as I was launching off a ~7-10 ft jump an out-of-control skier took my legs out from under me and I came down ass-first on the edge of a metal box/rail and had a full break of my coccyx. It was actually displaced nearly a full inch to the left and was "floating". It took nearly 3-4 months before it was comfortable to do anything without excruciating pain. I've broken several bones and had some pretty gnarly injuries in my day, but that one was by far the most painful one I've ever experienced. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Fell on my tailbone while ice skating yesterday and gosh it hurts like hell. Had a similar injury 7 years ago which got a lot better after going to a doctor specializing in these injuries (eastern medicine) and got better. My tip for anyone who wants to do these type of sports but don’t learn it with professionals: wear cushioning while ice skating (there are lots on Amazon that sells them, will save you a lot of time and money if these preventative measures are taken)
I recently injured my tailbone because a cooler I was sitting on rolled from underneath me unexpectedly. It's going on 5 days now and this injury makes everything I do painful and difficult. The worst being standing from a sitting position. Absolutely agonizing!
Damn, that just LOOKS like it hurts. I had my tailbone hurt for the past few weeks and I forget how much it sucks. It hurts to walk and to even switch laying positions 😂

Using the restroom feels like Satan is ripping my butt muscles like play dough. I have a trip to Hawaii in a month and I'm hoping this heals itself! *Edit...I think about 2-3 months in is when I stopped noticing the pain.
It happened to me this morning. Walking down a flight of carpeted stairs too quickly (while wearing socks), I lost my footing and landed straight down on the stair edge, bounced back up and landed on the next stair down. It knocked the breath out of me, and that’s what hurt me first more than anything was my chest. I struggled to get down the rest of the stairs and laid on the floor on my back for about a minute trying to catch my breath. Then, the tailbone pain finally hit. It hurts like hell to sit directly on my butt without doing some type of contortionist position to keep the pressure down. Hoping it goes away soon.

I had a really bad fall directly on my lumbar spine and coccyx during roller skating 5 months ago and it STILL hurts when I sit longer than an hour, Even my lower back still hurts when I lay down or sit in certain positions, it’s caused me to limp and even change the way I walk now and dude to that, I even developed plantar fasciitis on both feet due to how weak my glute and hamstrings are now 😞 and I’m only 22 but feel 80
The Doc said breaking your tailbone is rare, most people just bruise it. I broke mine, vertically, roller skating at age 13. I'm turning 60 this year and this injury never healed correctly. @@opharshitgaming1160 Honestly man, took me 2 weeks before I could start going back to work work and maybe a month and a half before the pain completely went away. All depends on how badly you hit that spot
My tail bone was fractured when i was thirteen after falling down stairs. Now at 77 the doctor says most of my back problems seem to be arising due to the tail bone fracture i had at some time
I'm pretty sure I fractured at least some part of my tailbone years ago playing basketball. I never had it treated or looked at at all but afterwards I had to lean on one side or the other when sitting in class cause sitting directly back on my tailbone cause a ton of pain. That went on for about a year. Now, some 10 years later, if I hit or irritate the bone hard enough, I literally cannot roll over or sit up in bed without going through agonizing pain. It doesn't happen often and only lasts for a day or 2 but it's one of the worst physical pains I have ever been through.
Glad I found this channel, very educational. I do have feedback for you, Doc. Could you by chance list each body part as you begin to discuss them? I was trying to retain as much anatomy terms as I can when you went over each one, and I think it would help if we saw/read the terms as you discuss them. Visually seeing the word and reading it will help with memorization.

You should see a doctor, it can get worst overtime
The problem is that it doesn't get better. It still hurts many years later after mine broke
Road to 1k before graduation who got me?😎💯

Me too 😢..
