Hear from my family, first hand, on their thoughts and opinions on their first ever family cruise. Princess Cruises might not be the first cruise line you think of when it comes to cruising with children but with an excellent kids-club offering, incredible Medallion technology and some of the best crew around, it they might just be one of the best family cruise lines around. Is this really one of the best cruises for kids?
Multi-generational cruising is becoming more and more important to the cruise industry so watch to learn how Princess Cruises treats families onboard its ships, including Royal Princess, the ship we cruised on for 14 nights.

Hi Adrian. I'm so glad the "Littles" had a great time. And the family had a great experience. This was a great production. One that I think you should use for your "Family" clients. Nothing speaks louder than kids who enjoyed themselves and mum and dad had piece of mind, not having to chase "littles" all over the ship !!! Well Done. Testimonials are great selling tools !!
Thanks Jeremy! I really liked the way this video came together, and I love that they got to share their experience. We all had a relaxing time, and a big part of that was how well the kids were looked after and catered for by Princess.
I very much appreciate your oldest daughter’s wise feedback. I’m considering taking my teen in a cruise and her opinion has been so helpful. What a wonderfully articulate kid!
Thank you! Appreciate your kind words and I’m glad Sophia’s input has helped with your decision making.
Hi Adrian, What a refreshing change this video was to your normal but excellent ship and cabin reviews. A big thank you to you beautiful family for allowing you to post their opinions and thoughts. Well done to all.
Great video from a family perspective. I went on heaps of cruises with my teenage daughter and as a result she became well-travelled and still talks about her experiences as she nears 30 :)
That is awesome! Love to read that, thanks for sharing.
This is awesome and Invaluable content thinks Adrian. Those kids are so articulate their parents should be proud. We aare about to become grandparents for the first time and our starting to turn our minds to multi generational cruising. this has been more helpful than you will ever know. BTW, we have just completed our first ever MSC cruise, a transatlantic on Davina. It blew our socks off. It was so good. our 20th cruise overall and one of the very best.
Great to see you had a wonderful family holiday such great memories to be made. Love their review and thoughts.
This is a fabulous video. Happy I am going on the Royal later this year, that was a bonus when watching this video.
Recently did 35 nights on Coral Princess. There were 4 kids on board. They had the run of the ship. Princess gave them their own crew name badges. With games of passengers verse crew, the kids played on the crew side. It appeared they had a great time.
How nice is that! I was ultimately surprised at how well Princess managed with the kids, and it's really down to the crew. They were just excellent with them. I think a packed, holiday cruise would be different... but on this cruise where we didn't have too, too many kids onboard, I think it all came together really well.
Thanks for sharing this video! Our family (ages 7 - 75) is considering the Sun Princess and we have been hesitant since we aren’t sure if our kids will enjoy. We have typically been going on Royal but my parents (age 75) are avid Princess cruises and say the kids will still enjoy
Hi Adrian we did 14 night Princess cruise to NZ a few years ago our son was 16 he wasn't into kids club but met up with a group of kids his same age one being captains son and he had an absolute ball. He would be out later than us and tbat was fine because you knew that they couldn't get into trouble and they were safe. I think any cruise ship is what you make it.
That’s great to read. Thanks for sharing!
That's was an awesome video :) so nice to meet part of your family :) so glad that they all had an awesome time :)
Thank you Debbie! :-)
Princess put on a great cruise and glad your family had a great cruise on Royal Princess
Thanks Wendy, it was a great family experience.
I’ll be going on Royal Princess doing the same cruise to Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu in March with my dad, stepmom, sister, Nan and great aunt and uncle. Nan is in a wheelchair so I know that she’ll have no problems getting on and around the ship.
Enjoy your cruise with the family!
Super helpful! I'll be going with my own tween soon and not a ton of into out there about Princess cruises from their perspective
I’m glad you found it helpful - hope your tween enjoys the cruise!
Thanks for sharing.
Basically mirrors our family of five experiences :)
Love that!
Thanks for showing us this. I really enjoyed seeing your family. The kids are just great. Very mature. Great interview
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the video. I'm very proud of my nieces and nephew 😬
Oh I loved this video. We were currently looking at different lines now after P&O closing down next year. It's nice to know Princess is an option. Love these family videos. More of them please 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Great to see that Domingo, the MDR Manager, was looking after you. Just a fantastic guy that ensures you are well looked after, and he is a credit to Princess Cruises. In fact, all the staff are marvelous on the Royal. Another informative video, many thanks. From the interviews, maybe your family enjoyed the ship more than you Adrian?
This was brilliant Adrian, love you! ❤️
What a great video from a different perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Love the madalion wish they had this on all ships so love how it tracks everyone would be so great with the kids, and great interview keep up the great work!!
Medallion is the best. The most advanced tech on the high seas, for sure.
they definately would never have had such a great time on carnival , we havent cruised on princess yet friends have only cruised on princess , we loved p & o
Excellent overall perspective, well done…..👍
I am going to share this with other family members, because it answers a lot of questions they may have.
Awesome, thank you!
Great to see a young family’s perspective 👌🏽
Thanks! This is definitely a favourite video of mine.
Nice to see ya family Adrian!
Thanks! I think they enjoyed being on camera 🤣
I'm going to book a Princess Cruise to try the choc chip cookies bases solely on your nieces recommendation .
Haha she’ll love hearing about that! 🍪
Love the bloopers😂
haha my favourite part too 🤣
Great video - Sophia could be the next “Emma Cruises”!
Haha yes, I think so too!
Well done Adrian, good episode!
Thanks so much!
Can you share which dining room you all ate in and how long it took to eat dinner? We have a 3yo and a 1.5 yo and I'm just a little worried about bringing them into any of the dining rooms
From memory, Concerto. But it doesn’t really matter - all three dining rooms are basically the same, with the same menu. Which restaurant you end up dining in depends on which type of dining schedule you pick.
I recommend going with traditional dining, which is what we did. It means you’ll have the same dining time, table and serving team for the duration of the cruise. This works much better with young kids - and you can skip dinner whenever you feel like if your plans change. You just have to pick this online via the Princess app after you’ve made a booking.
Dinner on average would take about 1.5 hours but we weren’t particularly rushed. You can speed things up by talking to the servers and they’ll work to make things speedier.
Thank you so much! That's very helpful! How far in advance were you expected to cancel dinner if your plans change? I know things with kids are always in flux
@@CrystalOrdway no worries! No cancellation necessary - just skip as needed. When you choose traditional dining, the table is yours for the cruise.
Thank you for that insight princess lookes better then I thought and Sophia that is what you meant to do on a cruise try different food 👍 up to you. Wish my little brother thought like that.
He 16 I still prefer nuggets and chips lol.
One of your best!
Thanks so much! I really enjoyed making this one.
Great kids!
Thanks Mary!
Nice Video, but seems like a paid commerical. I am sure you were paid. Too pad there was not much for kids activies outside of the kids club.
Davie, although I appreciate your confidence in claiming that I was paid for this video - I was not. My entire family paid out of pocket for the cruise. I will stop short of informing you of the total bill, but I’m sure you can do the maths - 9 people, four mini suites, 14 nights. This video shares the genuine feedback and experience that my family had onboard.
You know, I’ve developed this channel for 5 years now, and those that have been following along know the authenticity that comes with my videos, so I won’t take your misguided, miscalculated judgement personally.
Thanks for watching.
