Just wanted to say thanks. Ordered new foam, seat leather, and heating element for a 2004 Tahoe and the new parts were PERFECT. Additionally, your step by step instructions were spot on. Took less than an hour and the difference is AMAZING. Thanks again, folks!
My comments: I replaced cover, foam and heater for my 04 Suburban. This guide was a great help and I’m happy with the outcome. I’m handy, but no mechanic, and the entire process took me about 3 hours. Tips: disconnect the first couple wiring harnesses BEFORE you remove the seat by putting the seat all the way forward and up. That will expose the black plastic cover that easily pops off to expose the power harnesses. Then, when the bolts are removed you can pop the seat right out. Those first couple harnesses are clipped to the metal seat frame and can be removed first to get at the clips more easily. Don’t forget which couplings have blue “lockers”. You can always back track, but some pics ahead of time may save you some time if you’re a worrier like I am. I didn’t put the leather on like they did, I started with the clips on the front with the seat “inside out” and worked along the sides, adjusting fit and securing to Velcro along the way - finishing in the very back. I did the entire thing solo - didn’t run into any significant hurdles. I would definitely purchase again.
Great videos, replaced both the drivers seat bottom and arm rest on my 2003 Suburban without taking the whole seat assembly out. Thankfully there were not as many electrical connections so taking just the seat bottom out instead of the whole seat was relatively easy. The armrest put up a battle but the plastic handle of my ice scraper was a great help. Also, thanks for texting me and asking for pictures of my interior to make sure you shipped the right color, they are both a perfect match.
I received my seat cover two days ago and installed it yesterday. The cover was a perfect fit and your step by step video walked me through the entire cover change. I plan on using your company when the passenger seat cover needs replaced.
We're please to hear - if you took any before and after pictures of your vehicle, feel free to share them with us at sales@theseatshop.com. If not, it's all good, we're just happy to help.
we followed your 3 videos and it was very helpful. we were able to replace the sear cover with minimal problems. it took all day, but we did it. thanks for your help.
Helpful video. I have one suggestion and that is to tape and number each electrical connection. Not only is it wonderful to help you find all the connections and pair them up, if you check off each re-connection you will be certain you got them all. These guys don't need this, because they do it 15 times/day, but believe me you'll be glad you did. Also it would be helpful if these guys could take close-ups of some of the more difficult connections. Again for someone like me who never sees these things it is more helpful than being told "hard to find, search around', etc. Other than that, great job guys! I just did the bottom of my '02 Silverado drivers side, pulled the whole thing and lived to tell about it...
Great walkthrough and thanks for the tip about the heater! Side note to those who have non-functional heated or cooled seats--there is a consistent problem with some connectors under the passenger seat. Google is your friend.
Thank you, very helpful. Was able to do this without removing the whole seat frame. Just the bottom seat cushion and components. I appreciated all three videos!
Dam...I'm 166 lbs and I drive an 06 Yukon SLT with 115K miles. My leather seats are in excellent shape. I never slide off my seat. That's the trick. Also a damp cloth to keep them clean.
I bought a bottom cover and new foam from the seat shop and it matched perfectly. This how to video was very helpful and it only took me 2 hours start to finish, a second set of hands is very helpful. Also the tip to clean the existing leather with scrubbing bubbles worked awesome. I will definitely be a future costumer!
Thank you.. I made the job much easier ; I was also replacing the seatbelt assembly and the bottom bolt was super hard to remove; be careful not to break the bracket
Thanks for the great videos, I was able to do it without taking the seat out of the truck. Getting to some of the plugs would definitely be much easier with the seat out. It probably took just as much time to do it with the seat in. The plugs can be a pita to get to, see how they unplug, and where. But job came out beautiful, great product.
This was great help! Once question, once I installed my seat, all the sudden I have a Service Air Bag light that will not go away. Any suggestions or tips how to fix this?
I was actually looking to just replace the drviers seat switch. But now I know what to do when it comes to replacing the foam for the same seat. Thank you
sounds pretty straight foward, the bolts on there like you said 'inverted torx' are kind of intimidating now that I know that all I need is a socket wrench it shouldnt be a problem.
Just a heads up that there may be, like for my truck, a set of wires that runs from the top of the chair to the bottom that does not have a quick connect. You'll have to have push rivets and zip ties on hand if this is the case for you. You'll have to break the push rivet or cut the zip ties to free this set of wires; you will then, obviously, have to reconnect those wires when you are done.
I don’t think you have to cut or damage any ties or harnesses. You may have to really hunt down wires, but many harnesses are “clipped” to the plastic rivets and can be removed without damaging the plastic rivets!
Min 1:18 - 1:36...You will need a 15 MM Socket for the front two nuts, and an 11 MM Socket for the back two bolts. These will look like inverted torx (star) bolts and nuts, but the 15 MM and the 11MM will fit on there tight. Once the 4 fasteners are loosened, you will need to unplug the power connections underneath the seat at the back. These are quick connect power plugs. After disconnecting the power, the seat should lift right out of the car.

Thanks for reaching out, it may be fairly similar but unfortunately, we have not finished the R&D on the Bronco as of yet and would not want to steer you wrong.

hi do you guys have covers for Toyota Altezza or Lexus IS200?
can you get front seat covers for my H3 2007 They are Tan with dark bead
I have never heard of the seat heater turning on when opening the door. I don't think that unplugging it and plugging it back in will solve the issue.
I need my driver seat replaced
I have a 2002 Avalanche with smoke ruined cloth seats. Driver side has a hole in the foam near the outer edge. Do you stock the front and rear for the Avalanche? Headrests too? I didn't see all the parts on the site that I needed.
We can make the front and rear seats for it in leather just not cloth. For two row pricing, please call us direct at 214-710-2565
Ok will do. Yeah I want to do leather upgrade in it. Can I email you?
Brian. We do not sell any cloth for that vehicle. Chevy will discontinue making the cloth so quickly we cannot source the material. I could do it in leather or vinyl only. Let us know. Thank you.
I know. I don't want cloth.
I guess linking Part 2 in the video details is just too difficult.
