But when you think about it even if you could go back just for a split second you still wouldn’t be happy, because your mind lost it’s “innocence” too and everything you perceive now is through the cynical prism...it’s one of those things, like some old song, that you used to love as a kid because it seemed so profound and meaningful at the time to you just for you to grow up and realise it’s too naive...coming back listening to that song you won’t take it seriously anymore, unless you just try to convince yourself otherwise by trying hard and pretending...sure i went deep there, but you catch my drift...

I mean I'm only 19 years old (born in 2001) but John Hughes movies have always been something so special to me. They made nostalgic of a time where I wasn't even born in. They made want to find love and just live life to the fullest with my friends & family. I will never forget the time where my dad showed me Breakfast Club (one of his favorite movie of all time) and that we talked about the movie right after we watched it. Man, the joy he had on his face when he realized that I loved the movie as much as he did many years ago was something that I will never forget. And now, throughout each year, we watch the entire filmography of this amazing director and still talking about as it was the first time watching them.

You're the man brother, amazing work bringing back so many many memories.. Grew up as a child in the eighties and have never left and the question why are you still there?, the answer all of the above..... People kids whatever they are called 2k generation etc have no idea what it was like hop on the Haro down to the bike track pick up a ramp or two, cruise down the street find a quick marble pick up game, head to the local milk bar in Australia/Convenience store with a 5 cent piece nickel for you guys grab a bag full of lollies/candy head home switch on the Nintendo for some Super Mario Brothers with friends and family find all the warp zones, back on the bike to the local video store grab 5 weekly rentals for 5 bucks and your night was set amazing times how it all goes by so fast. Thanks again for the dedication of sharing something as special as the time gone by mate...

One thing that is abundantly clear is that John Hughes was and will eternally be an icon who made this world a better place with his enduring classics. Videos like this are a strong reminder of why he was one of the best directors and writers of all time. His work and advice is inspiring and reminds us to strive for the best and to do what we are truly meant to do. He carved his own path and illumined the way for so many others. We can all learn a thing or two from John Hughes and have his filmography as a constant companion if we ever need a boost or a kick in the right direction.
