Hidden Time Bombs (20 Years of Our Island - Pollution Episode)
屏東縣萬丹鄉與新園鄉交界處的赤山巖，有泥火山噴發。噴發出的泥漿是製磚的上好材料。從1960年代起，這裡的磚窯廠多如春筍，噴發出的泥狀山丘被開挖一空，甚至向下掘出窟窿。雖然1990年代末，磚窯廠沒落，但先前赤山巖被開挖出的窟窿，在1997年曾傳出被埋入有毒事業廢棄物─「汞污泥」。
二十年後我們重回現場，當初被非法棄置在赤山巖的台塑汞污泥，至今都解決了嗎？
Chi Shan Yan located at the junction of Wandan and Xinyuan townships in Pingtung County has mud volcanoes, and the mud erupted there is the best brick making material. Since the 1960s, brick kilns have sprung up like bamboo shoots. The mud hills have been excavated, and people even dug down to obtain more mud. The brick kiln industry began to decline in the late 1990s. In 1997, there were reports of toxic industrial wastes (mercury sludge) buried in the holes of Chi Shan Yan.
We return to the site 20 years later. Has the illegal mercury sludge dumping by Formosa Plastics at Chi Shan Yan been resolved?

我比較好奇，國外都怎樣處理，
現在這樣隨意亂倒
從經濟角度叫做把內部成本外部化
既然政府無法解決，應該強制源頭業者廢棄物處理要自己設置處理場不能外包
或是輸入多少原料就要相對先課徵數倍汙染費，等你有處置好在退回
