  • Hey! I'm Aunt Judy, I'm so blessed to have you following my journey here at Snead’s Farmhouse Sanctuary in Cullman, Alabama. Our farm is a place where you can connect with nature and feel safe because we educate against discrimination. We welcome everyone! We have many different animals here who all live amongst each other without being seperated by fences. NO fences JUST friends here at Snead's Farmhouse Sanctuary!!
What sets us apart is how we're all about including everyone and giving back to our community. We've teamed up with the Remi Foundation to make sure kids with autism can have a blast on the farm for free. And on top of that, we offer free field trips to groups like group homes and sober living facilities, and Domestic Violence shelters. It's all about spreading the joy and sharing the love!
If you're as excited as we are to check out all the cool stuff on our farm, we're open for tours every Friday through Sunday. And hey, if you're thinking about planning a special event or bringing a group to visit, hit us up! We're all ears and would love to chat with you.
Check out our linktree for more info: linktr.ee/Snea...
And hey, while you're at it, why not join our RUclips channel for some extra perks? Here's the link: / @sneadsfarmhouse8044

Why does Hospice or anybody for that matter think they have the right to take away the hope he has, or HAD !!! My Dad was early 60”s when a Doctor told him he had less than 6months to live, and the next morning he passed! Let them decide when to give up!

This is one reason I do not like Hospice because they don't understand that God is in control. Look around people what our Government has done to our medical for elderly. Wish we had more home health that hospice.

I have the same thing with my brother
He does breathing treatments but it just for a little relief. He has meds that allow him to breath some better. He too is on oxygen 24/7. Praying for you and larry.

I used to do hospice work. We were trained to always give family members the truth. To the patient we answered their questions
BUT NEVER EVER TOLD THEM THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO GET BETTER!!.

Good Morning Judy. I always love seeing the group home at your farm. They were totally enjoying themselves laughing and dancing!
I love visiting your creek area. What a beautiful quiet, serene place. I can see why you love to go there and take in all the sights and sounds of nature.
I was so glad to see Larry want to go for a ride with you and get out of the house for a bit. I love seeing the Alabama country side along the way. Chuck is adorable and he and Skipper are going to be such a sweet couple and she will be close so you can visit. Thank you for another wonderful video. 🥰💜

I know it’s hard. I watched my mom decline for a few years because of the cancer. But I remember some of the things she would say and due and after hanging up the phone I would laugh cause she would say crazy stuff. I also knew that one day she would not be in pain. Just live in the moment with Larry. Give him what he wants and spend as much time with him as you can. He’s a wonderful man and you are lucky to have him in your life. You’re doing a wonderful thing taking care of him.

Judy, you are a wonderful person. You work with the group home people with great understanding and patience. My wife is a retired physiotherapist. She always took time to listen to people when she worked in the hospital. She did have her own private clinic when she retired but she still missed people with disabilities.

Judy, I feel for you, honey. My mom has lost 12 pounds in the past six months. She hardly eats anything now and I can’t leave the house unless she’s sleeping. I’d like to tell you that it gets better but it doesn’t. And it’s sad because she was a very independent person. Now she refuses to eat to show she’s in control. And it makes me so mad because she doesn’t realize she’s just hurting herself!

Aunt Judy my prayers are with you. Let Larry live Larry my dad had 25%of his heart and COPD but never started oxygen. I know that it is hard to see but remember God is in control, enjoy every moment with Larry but let him live Larry...take him to see the animals, learn to cook meals that you know Larry likes, Don't ask just have something he could eat. Judy patients sometimes want to me but they think they are bothering you. My dad told me this an i cried like a baby. He did want to depend on me, which i told him you and mom gave me live and raised me to the person i am today. He would ask every once awhile for something to be cook but i cook meals that he enjoyed. But parents don't like to ask for anything,so cook like a hospital. Also remember when a person loves someone they tend to not want that person to see them in pain. Love you, Larry, and Shane

My mom stopped anyone from telling my dad he was not going to get better. He eventually said he knew he wasn’t getting better. It’s hard to live that lie and if you think they don’t eventually figure it out they do. My family was in denial they were forced into hospice for my dad because even though the hospital told them there was nothing they could do they didnt except it so the hospital discharged him. Hospice was their only choice for him in order to keep him comfortable. They stayed in denial until his last few days when he showed the signs of Activly dying. Everyone excepts death differently.

Judy, you are in my heart. I am watching my 92 year-old Daddy experience some of the same things as Larry. It is hard to watch someone lose their independence, especially their mobility. Sending hugs of love, Judy.
BTW, they make wonderful, inexpensive monoculars for birdwatching or whoever watching. 😂

Judy, my husband is totally blind in one eye. When he was around 18-20y old he accidentally put a knife through that eye. Zero darkness. He shoots, drives, a 747 pilot…etc. He has never let that eye get in the way of what he wants to do. He uses a microscope etc. The only issue is when we see 3D movies…..

I really wanted to meet Skipper before she left the farm. 😢 But I am glad you have found a great home not far from you! You can try using just one eye in the microscope. Maybe try someone you know that has one to see if you can use it before you buy one. And you can definitely learn from a parasite book that has pictures of the worms. That is how veterinarians learn how to identify them.

I had to wear the patch when I was little too. Thankfully my good eye stayed good, I only had the patch on during day/school hours and took it off in the late afternoon/evenings. My vision issue was caught when I was only about 4yrs old so much sooner and by the time i was 7 or 8 they felt they had saved about as much of the vision in the left eye as possible. You can feel that the eye is actually misshapen a bit if I close my eye and you feel the eye shape it's more pointed than my right eye and always has been. I had extremely good vision in my right eye like better than average, give me the fine print I can read it easily good, until 2017 it suddenly went downhill significantly and I had to get reading glasses just to see reasonably clear. I was a dish water/dirty blonde as a lil kid and always extremely intelligent but shy and didn't like other kids my age much mostly i think because I couldn't relate I didn't know and maybe no one did that I was actually somewhere on the autistic spectrum tho it's never been officially diagnosed to my knowledge it's clear to those that know what it looks like.

There’s a lot that goes into vets looking at microscopes or sending it out to a lab for diagnosis…idk if you took a lot of biology courses or animal science courses but you need a loooot of knowledge to find out what’s wrong with your animals when it comes to their poop.
